In a major mishappening, a United States military aircraft reportedly crashed off the Northen Territory coast during a training exercise. The aircraft is beliefed to be carrying 23 personnel onboard.

PTI, the aviation regulator is currently investigating this matter. In response, an Air India representative mentioned that all airlines undergo routine safety audits conducted by regulators and other organizations.

CNN Travel's report, US Space agency NASA has confirmed about “high-speed strategy" which will shrink the duration of New York-London flights to as little as 90 minutes. NASA is developing a supersonic aircraft, called X-59s, as part of its Quesst mission. Currently, passenger planes cruise at 600 mph but Nasa is exploring the possibility of designing a commercially viable and economical supersonic jet that would travel between Mach 2 and Mach 4 (1,535-3,045 mph).

US plane-maker Boeing has warned of delays in near-term delivery of 737 MAX jets due to a fresh quality issue. The development comes at a time when Air India and Akasa Air are both waiting for plane deliveries. The plane-maker said it was evaluating its annual 737 delivery target of 450 aircraft.

OSLO (Reuters) — Norwegian Air may consider adding Boeing (NYSE:BA)'s MAX 10 model to its fleet, CEO Geir Karlsen said on Thursday, after finding the plane's flight range was better-suited to the airline than initially thought.

The new supply-chain snag is the latest issue to impede deliveries of the cash-generating MAX following Boeing's disclosure of a problem in April that Spirit had improperly installed brackets joining the aft fuselage to the vertical tail. Boeing confirmed that the latest issue will delay the first MAX 8 delivery to Malaysia Airlines, which had scheduled an Aug.

Pakistan's cash-strapped national carrier has grounded 11 aircraft, including three of its Boeing 777s, due to unavailability of funds to carry out replacement of parts. An official in the Pakis-tan International Airlines (PIA) said the top management has grounded 11 planes in the last three years as there was a financial crisis prevailing in the airline and the increase in dollar rates and petroleum products had not helped the situation. The official, who didn't want to disclose his name, said that 11 out of 31 aircraft operated by the PIA on international and domestic routes were grounded at the Karachi and Islamabad airports. «The financial crisis has meant the airlines are not in a position to purchase spare parts since last year leading to the grounding of these aircraft gradually,» he disclosed. The previous government led by Shahbaz Sharif had appointed a new MD in PIA and unveiled its plans to privatise the national airline, an announcement which has been met with fierce resistance from the various unions in the airline. Some of the unions have gone on a strike and the official said this had not helped matters as well. Two of the three wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft were grounded in 2020 and one in 2021.
