New Delhi: The Centre on Monday notified an 8.15% annual rate of interest on deposits under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) scheme for  financial year 2022-23, following the recommendations of the Central Board Trustees (CBT) of EPF.

In a report titled ‘Strengthening multilateral development banks-the triple agenda’ presented to the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors, a nine-member committee argued that development banks should engage with the private sector in a new way, including by co-creating investment opportunities and programmes.

The move will come into effect 20 July, and will be applicable at all points of entry including airports, seaports and land borders. “The present guidelines are being revised considering declining trajectory of COVID-19 cases globally," a government official said.
