Iran significantly slowed the pace at which it is accumulating near-weapons-grade enriched uranium in recent months, the United Nations’ atomic agency reported on Monday, a move that could ease tensions with the U.S. and help open the way to broader negotiations over its nuclear program. According to a confidential International Atomic Energy Agency report, Iran added 7.5 kilograms—about 16.5 pounds—of 60% enriched uranium in the three months to August, far less than the 51.8 kilograms it added in the previous six months.

G20 Summit 2023: Delhi's makeover displaces poor, raises questions on poverty policies
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government hopes the elaborate effort to make New Delhi sparkle — a “beautification project" with a price tag of $120 million — will help showcase the world’s most populous nation’s cultural prowess and strengthen its position on the global stage. But for many street vendors and those crammed into New Delhi's shantytowns, the makeover has meant displacement and loss of livelihood, raising questions about the government's policies on dealing with poverty. In a city of more than 20 million people, the 2011 census had the homeless at 47,000 but activists say that was a vast underestimate and that the real number is at least 150,000.

Debt crisis matter of great concern for world: PM Modi ahead of G20 Summit
Debt crisis is a matter of great concern for the world, especially developing countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, as India looks at building consensus at the upcoming G20 summit to evolve a tangible framework to help the debt-ridden low income economies. In an exclusive interview to PTI late last week, Modi said India's G20 presidency has placed a significant emphasis on addressing the global challenges posed by debt vulnerabilities, especially for nations in the Global South. «The debt crisis is indeed a matter of great concern for the world, especially developing countries. Citizens from different countries are keenly following the decisions being taken by governments in this regard. There are some appreciable results too,» Modi said. «First, countries that are going through debt crisis or have gone through it, have begun to give greater importance to financial discipline,» Modi said. «Second, others who have seen some countries facing tough times due to the debt crisis are conscious of avoiding the same missteps,» Modi said. Under its G20 presidency, India has been consistently highlighting the need for a framework on debt restructuring to help countries facing mounting debt problems.
