Indian Biogas Association (IBA). Biofuel alliance can be a win-win situation for G20 countries and the environment, IBA said. According to a study by the IBA, the biofuel alliance can generate opportunities worth USD 500 billion in the next three years for G20 countries. The findings of the study assume significance as India is currently hosting the G20 leaders' Summit in New Delhi.Biogas can generate an opportunity of USD 200 billion, considering the least investment required, compared to other energy generation options and easy availability of raw materials, it stated.

G20 Summit will give a global focus to the ancient Red Sea from India to Egypt, which he also mentioned in his new book called “The Golden Road". In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Willian Dalrymple said, “With the announcement today of the opening of an Indian-Middle Eastern Economic Corridor at G20, it looks the ancient trade routes up the Red Sea from India to Egypt that I am writing about in my new book, The Golden Road, and previewed here in @nybooks, will again become a global focus of economic and cultural exchange." In a book review named ‘Garum Masala’ in The New York Post, Dalrymple wrote, “In March 2022 a team of American archaeologists was excavating a temple of the Egyptian goddess Isis at the ancient site of Berenike, on the shores of the Red Sea in modern-day Egypt, when they stumbled across a series of remarkable finds." India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor including shipping and railway links will be launched soon.

Modi on Saturday held two separate bilateral meetings with Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Japan and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in the national capital. During the meeting, with the Prime Minister of Japan, the leaders acknowledged the constructive dialogue of the two countries throughout the year on their priorities for their respective G20 and G7 Presidencies, particularly in bringing the concerns and aspirations of the Global South to the fore, the Prime Minister's Office said on Saturday. According to the PMO, the leaders held discussions on various facets of the India-Japan bilateral partnership, including on infrastructure development, technological collaboration, investments and energy. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.PM Modi also held a bilateral meeting with Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Delhi. This is the second visit of Prime Minister Meloni to India following her State visit in March 2023, during which bilateral relations were raised to the level of a Strategic Partnership. Prime Minister Modi appreciated Italy's support for India's G20 Presidency and Italy's joining of the Global Biofuel Alliance and the India — Middle East — Europe Economic Corridor. The two leaders noted with satisfaction the completion of 75 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Rishi Sunak on Saturday agreed to continue to work at pace towards a «landmark» free trade agreement (FTA) during their bilateral meeting on the margins of the G20 Leaders' Summit in New Delhi. They agreed that ministers and negotiating teams would continue to work at pace towards an FTA,» the spokesperson said. Sunak, who arrived here on Friday, held talks with Modi after the first session of the G20 Summit. Earlier, Sunak greeted Modi with a namaste as the latter received him at the venue.
