Pakistan extends visa of Indian woman Anju by 1 year, who crossed border to marry her Facebook friend
Nasrullah, her now husband said that Anju's visa, which was earlier set extended for 2 months has now been extended for a year after their marriage, PTI has reported. Her original one-month visa which she had got when she came to Pakistan was also set to expire on August 20. "The visa of my wife Anju has been extended for a year after the provision of related documents to the Interior Ministry," said Nasrullah as quoted by PTI.

Govt confident higher production in August will bring down tomato prices
central government is expecting the produce of tomatoes to increase from 2,23,000 MT in July to 5,44,000 MT in August in major producer states, bringing down prices of the vegetable and providing respite to consumers. «As the production in major growing areas especially in Himachal Pradesh go up, we will see cooling down of prices,» according to a senior official from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. The harvest in Himachal Pradesh, which is the main source of tomatoes in the national capital region and other northern markets, is expected to jump from 2,000 MT in July to 30,000 MT in August, providing relief to consumers.

According to a Crisil study, the cost of a typical vegetarian thali, commonly consumed across several parts of India, has surged by a third in just a month.
