UPI: It’s the digital public code of the world, and very affordable
NEW DELHI : The number of countries where the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) “is live" is set to double in the next 12 to 18 months, said Ritesh Shukla, the chief executive officer of NPCI International, the firm running India’s flagship retail payment and settlement system. European countries will be a key focus for greater collaboration and commercial partnerships, including Lyra, a French firm that will be an interoperability partner for UPI in France. In addition, India and the UAE, home to a large number of Indians, are working to operationalize cross-border remittances and personal payments.

We are making significant strides in establishing a world class solar energy value chain...Our goal is to provide affordable green hydrogen as a viable alternative to traditional fuels,» Ambani said in his address to shareholders.Reliance is among the largest global producers of grey hydrogen.

Gyanvapi case: Decision should be on basis of evidence, says UP minister Asim Arun
Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Asim Arun on Sunday said the Supreme Court's directives in the Gyanvapi Mosque case are welcome and that a final decision should be made on the basis of evidence. The Supreme Court on August 4 refused to stay an Allahabad High Court order that allowed an ASI survey of Varanasi's Gyanvapi mosque, an exercise the Muslim side says will «reopen wounds of the past». The SC bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, however, asked the Archaeological Survey of India not to carry out any invasive act during the survey to find out if the 17the century mosque was built on a Hindu temple.

Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 508 railway stations across the country via video conferencing on Sunday. Redeveloped at a cost of more than ₹24,470 crore, the 508 stations are spread across 27 states and union territories, including 55 each in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, 49 in Bihar, 44 in Maharashtra and 37 in West Bengal. The railways has set an internal target of one-and-a-half years to two years to complete the projects.
