NEW DELHI : The Centre may allocate around ₹800-1,000 crore as subsidy on the sale of natural gas under the administered price mechanism (APM) in North-eastern states for FY25, said two people in the know of the development. Proposed reforms include granting project-specific and fixed-period LoCs rather than generalized lines spanning several projects, the persons said, requesting anonymity. These proposed reforms, which come after requests from the borrower nations, will help reduce the interest burden on these countries, one of the persons added.
