Streaming services major Netflix’s India arm has renewed the lease for its head office space spread over 137,000 sq ft in commercial tower Godrej BKC in Mumbai’s business district Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in a five-year deal valued at more than Rs 280 crore. The company will be paying monthly rentals of nearly Rs 4.30 crore for two separate leases executed through Netflix Entertainment Services India LLP. The office space is spread across two units – on the 11th and 12th floors — of the commercial tower. The tenure of both the deals is set for five years and the lease agreement includes a clause to escalate rentals 5% every year, taking the total payout to more than Rs 284 crore over the entire term. Netflix had initially leased this office space from D'Decor Properties LLP in January 2019 and the lease has now been renewed.

Reliance Retail will now operate Sephora in India as Arvind Fashions Limited (AFL) has signed definitive agreements with Reliance Beauty & Personal Care Limited (RBPCL) to sell its wholly owned subsidiary Arvind Beauty Brand Retail Limited (ABBRL) which runs Sephora India business, in an all cash transaction. Transaction has been done at enterprise value of Rs 216 crore towards sale of entire equity stake and repayment of loans. On a consolidated basis, the turnover of Arvind Beauty Brands Retail Limited in the previous financial year 22-23 was Rs 336.70 crore which accounted for 7.60% of the consolidated revenue of the company. Net worth of Arvind Beauty Brands Retail Limited in the Financial Year 22-23 was Rs 10.6 crore which accounted for 1% of the consolidated net worth of the company. AFL intends to utilise the proceeds to invest in growth of its brands portfolio and repayment of debt.

foreign exchange reserves saw a rise of $2.6 billion to $586.5 billion for the week ending on October 27, latest data by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) showed on Friday. Previously, forex reserves were down by $2.36 billion, dragging the reserves to $583.5 billion, for the week ended on October 20. According to the Weekly Statistical Supplement released by the RBI, Foreign currency assets (FCAs) surged by $2.3 billion to $517.5 billion.

MOIL on Friday posted a 45 per cent rise in manganese ore production to 9.26 Lakh Tonne (LT) during the April-October period of 2023. It had produced 6.38 LT manganese ore during the year-ago period, MOIL said in a statement.
