K Kavitha walked out of the Tihar jail on Tuesday evening after being granted bail by the Supreme Court. She was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scam. «Entire country knows I was put in jail for political reasons. I have done nothing wrong,» said Kavitha upon release.

In November last year, the US Supreme Court rejected Tata Consultancy Services' appeal against a District Court of Wisconsin verdict, charging $140 million in punitive damages in a case filed by Epic Systems. The US healthcare software company had accused TCS of stealing its intellectual property when the Indian firm was contracted to implement its software.

LTIMindtree gets relief on Rs 378 crore GST notice from Karnataka HC
IT services company LTIMindtree informed it has received a stay order from the Karnataka High Court on a Goods and Services Tax (GST) notice worth Rs 378 crore received by the company. “High Court has stayed the proceedings pursuant to above Show Cause Notice till the next date of hearing, which is yet to be notified,” the Mumbai-based IT major said in a regulatory filing. In April, a show cause notice was filed by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, against LTIMindtree, country’s sixth largest IT major, for alleged non-payment of Integrated Goods and Services Tax on export turnover towards service provided to clients abroad.

He emphasised that the Cabinet has decided to implement the order issued on May 6, 2021, during the B S Yediyurappa-led BJP government, following a High Court directive on March 12, 2024. Karnataka Cabinet on Thursday gave its approval for executing an absolute sale deed for 2,000.58 acres of land at Kurekuppa and Toranagallu villages in Sandur taluk, and 1,666.73 acres of land at Toranagallu, Musinayakanahalli and Yerabanahalli, in favour of JSW Steel. JSW Steel will get 2,000.58 acres at Rs 1.22 lakh per acre and 1,666.73 acres at Rs 1.50 lakh per acre.
