BJP takes 'Kejri Corruption Kranti' jibe, asks if Arvind Kejriwal has any moral right to remain CM
BJP on Tuesday seized the Delhi High Court's rejection of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea against his arrest by the ED and its critical observations to attack the AAP convener, claiming the movement which began with the Indian Against Corruption stir has now turned into «Kejri Corruption Kranti». The BJP also pushed for the chief minister's resignation, with its Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva asking if he is now left with any moral right to continue while he remains under arrest. BJP's national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi cited several observations of the high court to slam the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its chief, accusing them of trying to politicise investigation and judicial processes. In a setback to Kejriwal, the high court on Tuesday dismissed his petition challenging his arrest in a money laundering case stemming from the alleged excise scam, saying there was no contravention of legal provisions.

He vehemently dismissed the case as unfounded and rooted in falsehoods. Bharadwaj pointed fingers at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of orchestrating a ploy against AAP with the intention of «destroying» the governments in Punjab and Delhi.

I am celebrated as 'Spectrum Raja': DMK leader A Raja
A Raja said the AIADMK and BJP should look inwards before pointing «tainted fingers» at the DMK over allegations of corruption and dynastic politics. The DMK MP said he was confident of retaining his Nilgiris seat with a «substantial margin» and that he remained unfazed by his rivals' attacks on him over the 2G scam and allegations of being corrupt. «I am being celebrated as a hero as far as 2G is concerned because I very bravely told everyone to call me 'Spectrum Raja',» he told ET in an exclusive interaction. «I am a Spectrum Raja. I am the spectrum king. I led a revolution. It is not unknown to history that a person who led a revolution is often called a criminal or a corrupt man.» The BJP and the AIADMK have been levelling charges against Raja, raking up his alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum allocation cases, which have been popularly dubbed as the 2G scam. In December 2017, a special CBI judge acquitted Raja, DMK supremo M Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi, and other accused of all charges in the cases. The Delhi High Court in March this year admitted a CBI appeal against the acquittal of Raja and 16 others in the 2G scam case.
