SpiceJet Ltd must strictly adhere to the deadline, the Delhi High Court on Thursday asked the low-cost airline to return leased engine to Engine Lease Finance BV, in Brussels, Belgium, at its own expense by March 10. It also asked Spicejet chairman and managing director Ajay Singh to file an affidavit within a week undertaking that the engine will be delivered on time without any further delay. The HC cautioned SpiceJet to take the deadline seriously while the lessor sought to initiate contempt proceedings against Singh if the engine was not returned as per the scheduled date.

Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday accused the Modi government of capturing democracy through extortion and financial terrorism and claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received huge donations from at least 30 companies following raids by federal probe agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the income tax department. Citing media reports, the Congress president claimed that the BJP received donations from at least 30 firms after it "misused" the CBI, ED and the I-T department for raids against them.

NBCC is expected to generate an additional Rs 15,000 crore from Amrapali projects as the Uttar Pradesh government has allowed it to develop additional flats in the project. Netflix documentary on Indrani Mukerjea faces halt as CBI seeks stay Yesterday, Shreeram Shirsat, the advocate for the Central Bureau of Investigation, told the high court on Wednesday that the agency should have been consulted once by the makers of the documentary series. He said the CBI was not seeking a complete ban on the release of the docu-series but is only requesting a stay until the trial in the case is over.
