NEW DELHI : The new BJP government in Rajasthan has sought the union health ministry’s approval to integrate the previous administration’s Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme with the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat programme, two officials privy to the matter said. The scheme, to be named Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, is expected to retain the existing benefits of the state scheme, including a ₹25 lakh insurance cover in both private and government hospitals, the officials said. The Chiranjeevi scheme, introduced by former chief minister Ashok Gehlot of the Congress party, offers higher coverage compared to Ayushman Bharat’s ₹5 lakh.

Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Reliance Industries-BP consortium, Oil India, and Dilip Shanghvi’s Sun Petrochemicals Pvt. Ltd have won oil and gas exploration blocks in the eighth round of the Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP-VIII). India had offered 10 blocks for bidding of which ONGC won seven, Oil India, Sun Petrochemicals, and a consortium of Reliance Industries Ltd and BP Plc got one area each. Contracts for the 10 blocks were signed on Wednesday. «Estimated investments in awarded blocks for committed exploration work program is to the tune of $233 Million,» said a press statement from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Five companies-- ONGC, Vedanta Ltd, Oil India Ltd (OIL), Sun Petrochemicals Pvt Ltd, and Reliance-BP Exploration (Alpha) Ltd had put in 13 bids for the 10 blocks on offer. Indonesia has launched a new five-year multiple-entry visa for tourists and visitors on business. The Directorate General of Immigration announcing the launch, said that the extended validity will make travel to Indonesia more affordable. Under the new visa, holders can stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days per visit. However, the announcement did not specify the time frame within which the 60 days must be used. The visa fee for this five-year multiple-entry option is set at $972 (IDR 15,000,000), and payment is required to be made online. Holders of this visa will have the flexibility to explore the country, visit family and friends, and participate in events and meetings. The Immigration department of Indonesia has underscored that the new visa is explicitly intended for tourism and business purposes, and holders are not permitted to work for local employers while in Indonesia. Those seeking to work or stay for an extended period must apply for an alternative visa category. Authorities have also warned that failure to adhere to the visa rules may result in fines, deportation, or legal charges.
