Chandrayaan-3: In a race against time, here's the list of findings made on the Moon's surface so far
Temperature recorded on the Lunar surface: On 27 August, ISRO released a graph of the temperature variation on the lunar surface and a senior scientist of the space agency also has expressed surprise over the high temperature recorded on the Moon. The space agency shared an update saying that Chandra's Surface Thermophysical Experiment (ChaSTE) payload onboard Chandrayaan-3's Vikram lander measured the temperature profile of the lunar topsoil around the pole to understand the thermal behaviour of the Moon's surface. While speaking to news agency PTI, ISRO scientist B H M Darukesha said, "We all believed that the temperature could be somewhere around 20 degree centigrade to 30 degree centigrade on the surface but it is 70 degree centigrade.

Private Phone. Secret Recordings. Inside One CEO’s Relationship With a TV Anchor
Under Armour founder Kevin Plank gave television anchor Stephanie Ruhle a private phone with a special email address to communicate with him, sent her confidential financial information about the sportswear maker and enlisted her help to refute concerns about slumping sales, according to newly released court documents. Plank and Ruhle were questioned by lawyers earlier this year in connection with a shareholder lawsuit, and portions of their depositions and some of their emails were recently unsealed in court. The documents provide new insights into their close ties and her unusual role as his adviser, which The Wall Street Journal first reported in 2019.

India's Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra gain certificates for production-linked payouts
Tata Motors and Mahindra and Mahindra have received domestic value certificates, a metric key to qualifying for payouts under the nation's production-linked incentive scheme, the government said on Tuesday. Launched in 2020, India's $24 billion production-linked incentive programme covers 14 sectors, ranging from electronic products to autos, and is crucial to boosting jobs in manufacturing, an area where India has struggled. Reuters reported this month that India's top bureaucrat reviewed the scheme, amid a push from industry for faster payouts. The Indian government said on Tuesday that applicants under the scheme for autos had invested 107.55 billion rupees ($1.30 billion) as of the end of June.

Insulting woman, being rude to her wouldn't amount to outraging modesty: HC
High Court has held while setting aside an order putting a man on trial for calling a woman 'gandi aurat'. The high court also said gender-specific laws are not meant to be «anti-opposite gender» but to serve the purpose of addressing unique issues faced by a particular gender. It said the fact that a piece of legislation is gender-specific should not be misconstrued to mean that the role of a judge also changes from being neutral to tilting towards a particular gender, and irrespective of the gender-specific nature of a law, the judicial duty fundamentally requires unwavering neutrality and impartiality. «Gender-specific legislation exists to address the unique concerns and challenges faced by particular genders within society.
