Quoting an animal activist, Times of India reported that the Indian rock python was noticed on the terrace of Vraj Paradise building on LBS Road, Ghatkopar (west), on Tuesday. But the python was in bad shape as it was covered with wet cement as some construction activity was going on this terrace, the activist said. Mumbai forest department personnel were informed who later rescued the snake. According to Wldlife SOS, the Indian Rock python is one of the largest snake species found in India. It can measure up to 20 feet in length and weigh up to 90 kg. They are native to the Indian subcontinent. They are often found closer to water sources and said to be excellent climbers of trees and rock surfaces.
