Info Edge has filed a first information report (FIR) at Mumbai’s Bandra Police Station against Rahul Yadav and others in connection with a fraud involving funds from 4B Networks. In 2015, Yadav who cofounded real estate portal Housing.com was fired by the company’s board. «We would like to inform you that pursuant to a complaint filed by AIPL, an FIR has been registered by the Bandra Police Station (Mumbai Police) on November 29, 2024 against Rahul Yadav, Devesh Singh, Pratik Choudhary, Sanjay Saini (and unnamed others) in connection with 4B Networks, alleging inter alia commitment of certain fraudulent acts involving 4B Networks' funds,» the document read. In 2021-22, Info Edge invested Rs 295 crore in Housing.com founder Rahul Yadav’s new real estate startup, 4B Networks.

Unlike the financial services sector, healthcare has been slower in adopting digital technologies. However, recent data breaches and rising cyber threats have prompted large hospital chains and their board members to prioritise patient data protection highlighted the ‘Cyber Resilience in Hospitals’ report by Deloitte and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). While the Indian healthcare system is valued at $66 billion and projected to surpass $100 billion by 2027 cyber readiness and digital infrastructure needs to be developed. Nearly 60% of healthcare organisations globally suffered a cyberattack in 2023, according to a study by Sophos, earlier reported by ET. This includes India's top institutions such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) wherein the personal data of over 81.5 million Indians was compromised and found for sale on the dark web.

Microfinance company Fusion Finance may cease to be a "going concern" if the lenders do not agree to its request for a moratorium on loans for at least a year or if it fails to raise resources, independent auditor Deloitte Haskins and Sells said. «The company's ability to continue as a going concern is dependent on obtaining waivers from demand by lenders for immediate repayment of borrowings for a period of at least 12 months from the balance sheet and / or securing sufficient funds from other resources such as successful sale of loans, rights issue and refinancing of borrowings,» the audit firm said in its note. The NBFC-MFI is negotiating with lenders to get a waiver from the right of immediate repayment for a period of at least 12 months from the balance sheet date. The lenders have so far not waived their right to demand immediate repayment.

Yatra's billing from the corporate segment crossed about $24 million (₹200 crore) for April-June, 77% higher than the previous three-month period. «We have to focus on really doubling down on the corporate side,» said Dhruv Shringi, chief executive of Yatra Online. The OTA derives 55% of its revenue from the B2B segment.

Nearly half of the shipments were to major European nations, including Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, and the Czech Republic.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested KA Rauf Sherif, general secretary of the Campus Front of India (CFI), in December 2020, marking the beginning of a multi-agency investigation into the Popular Front of India (PFI). A dossier prepared by ED after a four-year probe detailed that PFI has numerous members and offices in states including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, and Manipur. PFI, banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in 2022 after an attempted attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July of that year, reportedly has 13,000 members in Singapore and five Gulf countries. According to the dossier, funds are collected in cash from «unknown donors» and sent to India through hawala channels. These funds are then deposited in 29 bank accounts of trusts and affiliated entities.
