Cryptocurrency and the Accessibility of Bitcoin Conversion Rates
In 2024, many people attempt to socially devalue the concept of cryptocurrency. To many, cryptocurrency is little more than a fad whose time has come and gone. This derogatory view often stems from the supposed loftier ambitions and prognostications in the early 2020s about how cryptocurrency was destined to replace physical money via chain links. Clearly, that did not happen, yet cryptocurrency still lives on. Cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Solana, have been around much longer than many people realize and are still accepted by many businesses today.

Sheikh Hasina has alleged that the USA aimed to oust her from power due to her refusal to cede control of Saint Martin Island, which would have allowed the USA to exert influence over the Bay of Bengal. Hasina, in a message conveyed through her close associates and made available to ET, claimed that by surrendering the sovereignty of Saint Martin Island, she could have stayed in power. However, she chose not to compromise on the island's sovereignty, highlighting the island's strategic importance and the potential geopolitical influence it represents in the region.

Sheikh Hasina has no plans to leave India yet, says ex-PM's son
Bangladesh, currently in India, will stay here for some more time and has no plans to leave India yet, according to Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy. There is no decision for Hasina to move from India to another destination yet, he said. «Hasina is well and my sister is with her but the former PM is very upset,» Joy said. She is upset that Bangabandhu (her father) gave his life for the country, and the country achieved so much progress but she was hounded out, Joy said. Joy warned if the security establishment cannot restore law and order, Bangladesh would face the same fate as Pakistan's. He said he is waiting to see how Nobel laureate Md Yunus would run the country.

Bangla-dashed: Sheikh Hasina resigns, flees to India; protesters storm residence; military in charge
Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh for India on Monday seemingly just ahead of protesters storming their way into the Prime Minister's residence in Dhaka as month-long protests led by students over job quotas boiled over into an uprising. As many as 300 people have been killed since the protest began in July. A plane carrying Hasina, 76, landed at the Hindon Indian Air Force base just outside the capital as New Delhi worked out a safe passage for its long-standing ally in the region. Her final destination isn't clear. While some reports said she may go into exile in London, there is a possibility that she might depart for a destination in eastern or southern Europe. Belarus may be one of the possible destinations. Back in Dhaka, the country's army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman said on state television that, with Sheikh Hasina having resigned, the military would form a caretaker government, following meetings with political parties.
