DLF is expecting Rs 26,000 crore in revenue from its new super-luxury project in Gurugram at the current selling price, and the sales numbers may rise further due to high demand, its MD Ashok Tyagi said on Saturday. DLF has done a pre-launch of its 17-acre super-luxury housing project The Dahlias at DLF 5, Gurugram, and has received a good response from the customers. It received RERA approval at the beginning of this month to launch this project. The company will develop around 420 ultra-luxury apartments in this project. The minimum size of an apartment is 10,300 square feet. Enforcement Directorate on Saturday said it has attached assets worth more than Rs 163 crore of the alleged «main middleman» and his linked entities in fresh action in a «scam» in the recruitment of group C and D category staff by the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC). The federal agency earlier attached properties worth Rs 230.6 crore in connection with the alleged irregularities in the hiring of assistant teachers and Rs 151 crore worth of assets in the primary teachers recruitment «scam» in West Bengal. Both recruitments were done by the WBSSC. The federal agency said in a statement that five hotels and resorts, 230 land parcels and 17 flats and shops of Prasanna Kumar Roy, the «main middleman» in these cases, his wife Kajal Soni Roy and a company, controlled and operated by Roy, named Shree Durga Dealcom Pvt. Ltd. have been provisionally attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The value of the attached properties is Rs 163.20 crore, it said.

IndiGo flight from Jaipur to Chennai on Saturday caused confusion among approximately 160 passengers when it took off again soon after landing at Chennai airport. Airport authorities explained that the incident was due to crosswinds affecting the landing. The aircraft touched down on the main runway beyond the threshold point, prompting the pilot to take immediate action. Realizing there might not be enough runway space to slow down safely, the pilot decided to take off again promptly. No passengers were harmed during the incident. Flight 6E265 from Jaipur usually arrives in Chennai at 1:05 pm. On Saturday, the flight arrived earlier, around 12:45 pm. However, due to crosswinds, the pilot was unable to land at the runway's start, and the plane touched down in the middle. A senior officer of the force told PTI on Saturday that those promoted include personnel in the ranks of constables, head constables, assistant sub-inspectors and sub-inspectors working as barbers, band players, carpenters, motor mechanics, drivers, cooks and those in the general combat duty cadres. The officer said a total of 4,959 personnel have been promoted as part of a special drive conducted in the force in October on the directions of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) director general. Till now, these personnel were promoted after an «approved list» was prepared at the force headquarters level once a staffer passed the annual health and fitness test and had a clear service record from the vigilance point of view, he said.
