Gary Young was a drummer, producer, and studio owner. Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus confirmed the death of Gary Young on social media on Thursday, August 17. “Gary Young passed on today. Gary’s pavement drums were ‘one take and hit record’…. Nailed it so well,” he wrote.
