Investments through systematic investment plans (SIPs) into this product also will be capped at ₹25,000 for each investor per month. «Few stocks in the small- and mid-cap segment have multiplied, and strong momentum is taking them beyond the fair value of businesses,» said Kotak in a letter to investors. «We believe our funds are positioned defensively, emphasising the quality of businesses. However, given the market background, we see it prudent to limit the inflows in our Small Cap Fund at this juncture.» Kotak Mutual said it will review this decision in the second quarter (April-June) of this calendar year if more investing opportunities arise or valuations become more palatable.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi setting a target of 370 Lok Sabha seats for the party in the upcoming elections, BJP is aligning party resources to meet the target. Earlier, the party had set up call centres in 300 districts across the country for the election campaign. Now, it has decided to set up call centres in 370 Lok Sabha seats. Sources told ET that around 360 call centres have already been set up and the remaining 10 centres would be set up by this week. At present, there are 19,000 party workers reaching out to more than 40 lakh people on a daily basis. With the new centres adding up, there would be around 21,000 workers with a target to cross 50 lakh calls per day.

Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference on Monday formally announced the candidature of party chief Sajad Lone for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Baramulla-Kupwara seat in northern Kashmir. JKPC's general secretary Imran Ansari announced Lone's candidature asserting that the party aims «to defeat the common enemy of the people of J&K». «We believe that the fiercest speeches on the floor of Parliament, advocating the just cause of our people will finally be delivered by Sajad Lone after a painful wait of seven decades,» said Ansari in his official statement.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge kicked off the party's election campaign for Andhra Pradesh at Anantapur on Monday, ahead of the upcoming state assembly polls and Lok Sabha elections, promising to dole out Rs 5,000 every month for eligible poor households. Kharge termed the monthly dole a 'Congress guarantee' and a poll promise greater than the five 'guarantees' being fulfilled in Karnataka and the six being implemented in Telangana. «This is not a promise, this is a guarantee. Like no other state in India, we are giving a promise for the poor. Every poor family will get Rs 5,000 per month into their accounts,» Kharge said, addressing the party's first election campaign meeting, switching between English and Kannada, as the region has a significant Kannadiga minority and borders Karnataka.
