Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on December 9 to launch the Pradhan Mantri Bima Sakhi Yojana in the state. Speaking to reporters, Nayab Singh Saini outlined the preparations for the visit and emphasised the government's commitment to fulfilling its promises «Today, we had discussions with all the workers regarding our BJP membership campaign. We should achieve our target in 1-2 days and after that, PM Modi is coming to Haryana on 9th December to launch the Pradhan Mantri Bima Sakhi Yojana and all the workers have been assigned the duty to take women from here in large numbers to Panipat. Our government will continuously fulfil the promises we made in the state and take Haryana forward,» Haryana CM said.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said he was ready to ban beef in Assam if state Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah writes to him, seeking such a ban. Congress has alleged that BJP distributed beef to win the Muslim-dominated Samaguri, which was under Congress control for five consecutive terms. BJP and it's allies won all the five seats in the recently held by election. BJP's Diplu Ranjan Sarmah defeated Congress' Tanzil, son of party MP Rakibul Hussain in a bypoll last month.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday said she will write to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and put as much as pressure on the Centre to provide the rehabilitation of Wayanad landslide victims. «I will be writing to the Chief Minister of Kerala and trying to put as much as pressure possible on the Centre as well to provide the rehabilitation that they deserved,» she said while addressing a meeting at Kalpetta here. «But I would like to urge both the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to provide this rehabilitation, regardless of politics,» she added.

Sanjay Raut on Sunday said that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari must propose President's rule in the state because of the «mess» over the ongoing stalemate regarding Chief Minister post in Maharashtra. He reiterated his allegations against the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). «Governor should propose the President rule here because of the mess that has happened here. This is wrong. The senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader further said that the Eknath Shinde-led state government was against the constitution. The Republican president-elect has threatened to impose tariffs on products from Canada and Mexico if the countries don't stop what he called the flow of drugs and migrants across their borders. He said he would impose a 25 per cent tax on all products entering the US from Canada and Mexico as one of his first executive orders when he takes office in January.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday criticised Union Home Minister Amit Shah after being attacked by a bus marshal during his 'padyatra'. Kejriwal accused Shah of failing to address crime in Delhi, instead allegedly targeting him. In a post on X, Kejriwal wrote, «Amit Shah Ji, what will happen by stopping me? Stop crime in Delhi. Will crime in Delhi decrease by stopping me? Will open shootouts in Delhi stop? Will the women of Delhi become safe? Will the traders of Delhi be secure?» According to police, the AAP Chief was shaking hands with the public when a bus marshal, identified as Ashok Jha, attempted to throw «water» at him. The police immediately apprehended the individual at the scene.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday alleged that Parliament has witnessed disruptions over the past week because the BJP is afraid to discuss certain issues with opposition parties. Priyanka Gandhi asserted that the Congress is fighting to uphold the Constitution. Addressing a public meeting at Karulai in Nilambur taluk of Malappuram district, Priyanka Gandhi said, «Across India, we are fighting for our Constitution and the values on which our country was built. We are fighting against the BJP, which has no rules, no respect for democracy, and no regard for the Constitution… We have been asking them to discuss some issues with us in Parliament… Parliament has not functioned for the past week because they are afraid to even discuss certain issues.»

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday said the Congress would work to establish a fair, balanced and strong judiciary that is not under pressure. Gandhi Vadra is in Wayanad, Kerala, on a two-day visit to thank voters for electing her with a huge margin. On the first day of her tour, she addressed voters at Thiruvambady assembly constituency in Kozhikode district and Nilambur, Wandoor and Ernad assembly constituencies in Malappuram district, pledging that she would not disappoint them. Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday asked the elected government in Jammu and Kashmir to take measures to stop the «injustice» of dismissing employees over alleged terror links and reinstate all those who have been terminated so far. His remark came a day after two government employees were dismissed from service by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for alleged terror links. «Two more government employees terminated by the stroke of a pen without any legal recourse! Families rendered destitute before the onset of harsh winters. Punishment and fear is the hallmark of an authoritarian mindset that has been ruling us here,» Farooq said in a post on X. He also called upon the elected government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the Union territory to reinstate all the employees who have been terminated «in an unjust manner».

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve said on Saturday. Danve said Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's political position is ambiguous and people cannot understand whether he is supporting the state government or opposing it. «After every poll defeat, there are such talks (that the Thackeray cousins should come together). You will find these discussions every 8-10 days after an election verdict is out. Only they (the Thackeray cousins) can decide if they want to (come together). We have no role,» the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council told reporters. The Uddhav camp loyalist added that Raj Thackeray's political stand is unclear.
