superconductivity that promises zero resistance to electricity at room temperature continues to be the 'holy grail' of material science. It can be achieved technically by moving electrons as efficiently as possible. This is called improving electron mobility. The scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have made a breakthrough in the field but in a different way. Union home secretary, the person said. Proposals under Press Note 3 will be expedited only when certain conditions are met. Second, the management and board of the investee company should not have any Chinese nationals in key roles such as MD/CEO and finance chief, and the Chinese partner can only have a minority stake in any partnership. Provident Digital Platform Mobile Enterprise Experts electronic Uber, others seek clarity on GST after conflicting rulings
Uber have approached the finance ministry, Goods and Services Tax Council and the Authority for Advance Rulings (AAR) seeking clarity on whether their business was liable to tax or not. The move follows a decision from the Karnataka AAR that held that Bengaluru-based direct-to-driver app Namma Yatri was not liable to pay GST. The AAR, in the case of Juspay Technologies that runs the Namma Yatri mobility platform, relied upon the dictionary meaning of the word «through» and held that the mere act of linking service providers with customers through a digital platform did not constitute a supply of service and thus not liable to tax. Section 9(5) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 specifies that liability of GST on certain services has to be discharged by an electronic commerce operator if the services are supplied 'through" its platform. The Karnataka AAR held that as Namma Yatri was merely connecting the auto driver and passenger and its role ended on such connection, the supply was happening independent of its online application and, accordingly, Section 9(5) did not apply on it.

markets UPS Provident Manufacturing electronic innovations 2020 How Budget 2024 can cash in on the PLI scheme to unlock Aatmanirbhar Bharat's manufacturing potential
Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing and reducing dependence on imports. Launched in 2020, the PLI scheme seeks to incentivize companies to set up and expand their manufacturing capabilities within India, thereby fostering self-reliance and bolstering the country’s economic resilience. At its core, the PLI scheme provides financial incentives to manufacturers based on their incremental sales from products manufactured in domestic units. These incentives are designed to make Indian products more competitive on a global scale, encourage large-scale manufacturing, and attract investments in critical sectors. The scheme is targeted at sectors where India has the potential to emerge as a global leader, thereby creating significant employment opportunities and boosting exports. To date, the government has rolled out PLI schemes across 14 key sectors, including electronics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and white goods. The success of these initial schemes has prompted the government to consider expanding the program to other strategic sectors.
