The Tata Group-owned Air India faced a Rs 30 lakh fine from the DGCA in January this year for not having enough pilots trained to fly in low visibility conditions ahead of the fog season. «Air India has adjusted flight schedules to minimise disruptions to long haul and metro-to-metro flights with onward connectivity during the fog window. It has also increased the number of CAT-III trained pilots who are certified to land in low visibility operations and CAT-III instrument landing system,» Air India said without giving the number of such pilots.

Markets regulator Sebi on Thursday asked merchant bankers to upload and maintain due diligence documents related to public issues on the repository platform maintained by stock exchanges. K Raheja Corp has acquired two prime properties including Bayside Mall, one of the early shopping malls of India, and Popular Press Building spread over more than half an acre in south Mumbai’s plush Tardeo locality for over Rs 355 crore. Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) recently clarified that under exceptional circumstances, a stock broker can upload the same mobile number or email address for more than one client if the clients belong to the same family. A retail investor can use his number or email ID to operate his family members’ demat accounts under certain conditions. Family for this purpose would mean self, spouse, dependent children and dependent parents. SEBI said that this is possible only under certain circumstances and on the client's written request. This rule will come into force with immediate effect. According to a SEBI circular on December 3, 2024, “Master circular states the following regarding uploading of mobile number and e-mail by stock brokers: Stock Brokers shall ensure that separate mobile number/email address is uploaded for each client. However, under exceptional circumstances, the stock broker may, at the specific written request of a client, upload the same mobile number / email address for more than one client provided such clients belong to one family. Family for this purpose would mean self, spouse, dependent children and dependent parents.”

Myntra, India’s largest online lifestyle and fashion retailer, has joined the quick-commerce bandwagon, launching a 30-minute delivery service called M-Now in Bengaluru that it plans to expand to cities like Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune in the coming months. Myntra is entering the segment with an extensive assortment — about 10,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) to start with — compared with a limited number of lifestyle and fashion products like regular t-shirts and innerwear offered on quick-delivery platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart. It started a pilot project last month and the service is now live in some areas of Bengaluru. M-Now will deliver fashion and beauty products and accessories within 30 minutes using dark stores, or micro warehouses, run by third parties as well as retail stores of fashion brands, Myntra chief executive Nandita Sinha told ET.
