babies dog names; according to a name consultant, this is a compliment. Baby name consultant Colleen Slagen claims that a growing trend in baby naming is the use of dog names as human baby names, as quoted in a report by The NY Post.
In a TikTok video, Slagen revealed that one of the most frequent insults she encounters in direct messages or comments is that a name is a dog's name, not a human one. She mentioned that certain trends spring to mind when she considers dog names.
The first is cutesy nickname names, which are also very popular with infants at the moment. Charlie, Daisy, Sophie, Ruby, Sadie, and Archie, for instance. Leo, Max, Chloe, and Luna are examples of short and sweet names.
She noted that Luna is the tenth most popular baby name for girls and a popular dog name. True dog names like Bear, Banjo, and Blue are also popular; these are names that, against your best instincts, you might end up liking.
