Sean Diddy and Luigi Mangione will now share the 'Hell on Earth' as well as a lawyer
Luigi Mangione and Sean «Diddy» Combs, now have two things in common: they share the same prison and the same lawyer.
Mangione, accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has been transferred to Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), where Combs is also being held amid a series of sexual assault lawsuits. Incidentally, Mangione's lawyer is also defending rapper Sean «Diddy» Combs in a separate sex-trafficking case.
Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania after a five-day search and brought to New York. CNN and ABC News report that he is now in federal custody at the MDC. “Mangione appreciates everyone’s support,” said Karen Friedman Agnifilo, Mangione’s lawyer and the wife of Marc Agnifilo.
Sharing 'Hell on Earth'
The MDC is notorious for its difficult conditions. Former warden Cameron Lindsay described it as “one of the most troubled, if not the most troubled, facilities in the Bureau of Prisons,” according to The New York Times in 2019. Some describe the prison as «Hell on Earth.»
The Sun reports that Mangione will be housed with other high-profile inmates, including Combs, Mexican cartel figure Ismael «El Mayo» Zambada, and former FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried. The MDC is currently New York City's only operating federal detention center.
