Citizens Extreme Remark Matthews President country Department "In close coordination with Canada...": US on Nijjar's killing
Hardeep Singh Nijjar. «We remain in close coordination with our Canadian colleagues on this question,» US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said while responding to a question related to Nijjar's killing in Canada. Miller's remarks came during a daily press briefing on Monday (US local time). Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently alleged that the Indian government was behind the fatal shooting of Nijjar. Nijjar, who was a designated terrorist in India, was gunned down outside a Gurdwara, in a parking area in Canada's Surrey, British Columbia on June 18. Trudeau, during a debate in the Canadian Parliament, claimed his country's national security officials had reasons to believe that «agents of the Indian government» carried out the killing of the Canadian citizen, who also served as the president of Surrey's Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara. However, India has outrightly rejected the claims, calling it 'absurd' and 'motivated'. Notably, Canada has yet to provide any public evidence to support the claim about the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Miller said the US has engaged with the Indian government on a number of occasions to urge them to cooperate with Canada's investigation. He said US State Secretary Antony Blinken had an opportunity to discuss the issue with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar during their meeting on Friday. Meanwhile, Trudeau has said that Ottawa wants to «work constructively with India» regarding the allegations. While addressing a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trudeau said, «In regards to India, Canada has shared the credible allegations that I talked about on Monday. With India, we did that many weeks ago.

UPS Twitter MET Extreme Action country end Truckers in Germany end 'unprecedented' strike
Europe ended a weeks-long work stoppage in Germany including a hunger strike after reaching a pay deal at the weekend, labour representatives said. Edwin Atema, head of the Road Transport Due Diligence Foundation, which monitors and addresses violations of work standards in Europe, said Saturday that the striking truckers had seen their demands met. «All claims and charges against the Graefenhausen drivers are withdrawn, money has been paid and the strike is over,» he said on X, formerly known as Twitter, referring to the location in western Germany where some 80 drivers had set up a protest encampment. Atema, who led the negotiations on the labour side, said the drivers had been previously «invisible» in European road transport supply chains but achieved «fundamental changes» with their industrial action. «Not invisible anymore, but invincible,» he said. The truckers — mostly from Uzbekistan and Georgia, with a handful also from Tajikistan, Ukraine and Turkey — work for several Polish trucking companies owned by the Mazur Group. They said they were not being regularly paid their salaries — at a daily rate of about 80 euros ($85) — and were charged hefty amounts to even take the jobs in the first place while having to work extremely long hours. Believing their Polish employers would not respond to their growing desperation amid the 10-week strike, some of the drivers stopped eating last month. They were demanding a total of 500,000 euros in what they said were unpaid wages.

COST Waters Extreme Manufacturing BURST social reports Electric car catches fire in Bengaluru. Here's what causes EV fires and why electric two-wheelers are at higher risk
Bengaluru, an electric car burst into flames near Dalmia Circle in the JPNagar area, creating a horrifying scene that has gone viral on social media. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, but the cause of the fire remains unknown. Electric vehicle fires, although rare in theory, often attract significant attention when they do occur. These incidents are primarily attributed to the high energy density of electric vehicle battery packs, which store a large amount of energy in a compact space. When the battery pack is damaged, an internal short circuit can trigger a chain reaction known as thermal runaway. During this process, the battery generates more heat than it can dissipate, leading to a fire. About 95% of battery fires in electric vehicles are classified as ignition fires, producing jet-like directional flames. The remaining 5% involve a vapor cloud explosion. Several factors can cause a battery to catch fire, including physical damage from accidents, manufacturing defects, battery faults, workshop repairs, arson, external fires, or overheating.

UPS Waves Extreme Australia swelters through 'scorching' heat lifting bushfire risk
heat wave that raised the risk of bushfires and led authorities to issue fire bans for large swathes of New South Wales state. The nation's weather forecaster said temperatures would be up to 12 degrees Celsius (53.6 degrees Fahrenheit) above average in some areas, with Sydney, the capital of Australia's most populous state New South Wales, set to hit 36 C (96.8 F). At Sydney's Kingsford Smith Airport, the temperature was 34.6 C (94.3 F) at 2pm (0300 GMT), more than 11 degrees above the October mean maximum temperature, according to forecaster data. Australia faces a high-risk bushfire season following the onset of an El Nino weather event, recently announced, which is typically associated with extreme events such as wildfires, cyclones and droughts. State Emergency Services Minister Jihad Dib announced the start of an official bushfire danger period, with the «scorching» heat lifting the risk for the week ahead. «Not only is it hot, it's dry and it's windy and those conditions combined are the perfect storm,» Dib said. Fire authorities on Sunday issued nine total fire bans for parts of the state to reduce the chance of bushfires. Australia's last two fire seasons have been quiet compared with the catastrophic 2019-2020 «Black Summer» of bushfires that destroyed an area the size of Turkey and killed 33 people. In Sydney, local resident Sandy Chapman said she was worried about the mix of extreme heat and wind. «It doesn't take long to start a fire and have it burning and it's very scary,» Chapman said. Sydneysider Katie Kell hoped there would be no repeat of bushfires on the same scale as 2019-20. «I don't know, with how hot it's been since the start of spring, I'm not too confident,» Kell said.

I am not saying you should become religious; become spiritual because knowing that somebody is up there protecting us, making sure that everything is done the way it should be, has a very, very, very positive force in your life. What are the tips to keep your heart healthy? I have a few messages and tips. First message to everyone is that do not wait for your heart to break down, see the doctors before it breaks down. We call it preventive maintenance. Everyone past the age of 30 must go for a preventive check-up. It may not be a very detailed preventive check-up but go for a preventive check-up. Especially people who want to get into very extreme sports like cardio or a marathon race or a football, it is very important to get a detailed evaluation of the heart because in India nearly 10% to 15% of the adult population have some type of a heart disease and 50% of the heart patients suffer from silent ischemia, that means even if they develop a heart attack, they do not know about it.
