markets UPS Extreme wellness trends Trade country Are valuations stretched? Sachin Shah weighs in on smallcap and midcap risks
«Of course, structurally, we may see a higher interest rate compared to the history or the past, but still, they should be significantly lower from what they are today, at least 100 to 150 bps or maybe closer to 200 bps lower over the next 12-18 months so that is another very big positive,» says Sachin Shah, Emkay Investment Managers. First up, the market view itself because, of course, while a lot of people have been saying that we are toppish and the fundamentals perhaps are getting overshadowed by liquidity right now, what is your view on where the market momentum lies and what should we factor in for the market peak? Sachin Shah: I think it is getting kind of a consensus view that the valuations are getting a bit stretched, at least in some pockets of the market, particularly the smallcaps and midcap, those kind of things, and of course, the largecaps are much more reasonably valued.

markets IPO Waters Extreme trends Trade hospital Here’s why the shares of small businesses sell at inflated prices
Lombard Street: A Description of the Money Market details the dubious purposes for which businesses sought to raise funds: “To make Salt Water Fresh… For building of Hospitals for Bastard Children… For trading in Human Hair… For a Wheel of Perpetual Motion." But the most audacious was: “For an Undertaking which shall in due time be revealed." We no longer live in the 18th century and such blatant fraud is not usually possible today. However, in the 1990s, merchant bankers did inflate the value of many dotcom companies with barely any business prospects, projecting a prosperous future to sell retail investors these shares at excessive valuations. If merchant bankers had made a habit of refusing such deals, much of the dotcom bubble might never have occurred.

Extreme Racing Election President show Colleges US Election 2024: Donald Trump holds a fragile lead over Kamala Harris, but battleground states could flip the script
presidential nominee Donald Trump is narrowly leading Democratic nominee Kamala Harris by just one point in a recent The New York Times/Siena College poll. Trump garners 48 percent of voter support against Harris's 47 percent. The poll, which surveyed 1,695 respondents nationwide, has a margin of error of 2.8 points, making the race a statistical tie. The poll results come on the heels of President Joe Biden’s unexpected decision in July to step aside from the 2024 presidential race, endorsing Kamala Harris to lead the Democratic Party. Despite an ensuing surge in Democratic enthusiasm, the race remains extremely tight, with Harris and Trump frequently swapping narrow leads in various surveys. FiveThirtyEight, a media outlet that ranks pollsters based on accuracy and methodology, has identified The New York Times/Siena College poll as the most reliable in the country. Polling averages suggest a very close race, with Harris often holding a slight national lead.

UPS Extreme Action security country International Anti-Naxal ops: CRPF moves in over 4,000 troops in Chhattisgarh for decisive action
CRPF is moving in four battalions comprising more than 4,000 personnel in the worst Naxal-violence affected areas of Bastar in Chhattisgarh as part of a strategy to launch a «decisive battle» to match the Union government's latest resolve of ending the Maoist problem by March 2026. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while declaring this deadline in the Chhattisgarh capital of Raipur last month, emphasised that a «strong and ruthless» plan of action was required to rid the country of Left Wing Extremism (LWE) — once termed the country's biggest internal security threat. Official sources said the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) — the lead internal security and anti-Naxal operations force in the country — withdrew three battalions from Jharkhand and one from Bihar for deployment in the Bastar region, about 450-500 kilometres south of Raipur. It was felt that the Naxal violence situation in these two states had improved and incidents were negligible. Hence, these battalions can be better utilised in Chhattisgarh, where the anti-Naxal operations are now concentrated, they said.

UPS Waters Extreme country Department Updates India may experience extreme winter this year with some states hitting 3 degrees; All you need to know
India is gearing up for an exceptionally harsh winter, as forecasted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD has pointed to the onset of the La Niña phenomenon in September 2024, which is expected to cause a significant drop in temperatures and increased rainfall across the country. La Niña, the cooler counterpart to El Niño, is characterised by lower sea surface temperatures in the equatorial Pacific, leading to widespread climate effects, including colder and harsher winters. According to the IMD's announcement on September 2, 2024, La Niña is likely to result in a severe winter. Typically, La Niña begins between April and June, strengthening between October and February, and can last from nine months to two years. It is driven by strong easterly winds pushing ocean waters westward, which cools the ocean surface. This contrasts with El Niño, which brings warmer conditions. Different regions in India are expected to experience varying degrees of winter severity. Northern states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir may see especially frigid conditions, with temperatures potentially falling as low as 3°C. Additionally, the combination of colder weather and increased rainfall could impact agriculture, particularly in areas that rely on winter crops.

Twitter Booking Extreme Platform Football Nestle social Twitter changed football. now X can do it again
Twitter — without that distinctive, pointed ouroboros nestled at the foot of each post, the one that serves as a gauge, a currency and a vector of virality. The retweet — the capacity to share, quickly and easily, a contribution that you enjoy or endorse or otherwise wish to bring to the attention of others — was the innovation that made Twitter work. It gave a niche idea its purpose, turning a curious app into a transformative social, cultural and political force and, eventually, a billionaire’s plaything. It was not, though, deliberate. Retweeting was not designed by the cadre of developers who founded Twitter. It did not exist in the early versions of the app. There was, in its first iterations, no way of amplifying the best (or, later, worst) content that emerged from the doomscroll.
