Manipur witnessing several months long ethnic strife, the Union Home Ministry is giving ten mine protected Quick Reaction Fighting (QRF) vehicles to the state. An official said that of the ten QRF vehicles, seven have already arrived in the state and three more are on the way. The Ministry of Home Affairs provided the QRF vehicles to equip the security forces in enforcing law and order in a very effective manner in the state. These mine protected QRF vehicles would greatly help in protecting the security forces while performing their duties at vulnerable spots, the official said, adding that the state government continues to take up initiatives for strengthening security measures and the protection of lives and properties.
