Elon Musk's X platform takes first step toward lifting Brazil ban
Social media platform X has named a legal representative in Brazil — a first step toward being able to resume service in the country — but its suspension will continue until it meets further requirements, a judge has ruled. Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes said in a decision published Saturday that X had still «not duly met» all requirements for ending the ban, and he gave it five days to file additional documents. The high-profile judge has been engaged in a long feud with X's owner, billionaire Elon Musk, as part of his drive to crack down on disinformation in Brazil.

Cabinet rejig likely in Punjab, some ministers may be dropped for new entrants
Punjab government is likely to effect a cabinet reshuffle on Monday with speculations being rife that four to five MLAs may be inducted while a few ministers may be dropped. However, there was no official confirmation on the reshuffle in the Aam Aadmi Party government. In case there is indeed a reshuffle, the swearing-in ceremony is likely to take place at the Raj Bhavan on Monday, sources said. The likely Cabinet reshuffle would come days after AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal was released from the Tihar Jail upon being granted bail by the Supreme Court in the excise policy case.

Arvind Kejriwal sets new political strategy, attacks Modi, poses 5 questions to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat
Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday demanded answers from the RSS for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's actions, in an apparent bid to diminish his stature by implying that the parent Hindutva organisation was the master which should keep its child in control. «Has the son become so big now that it is showing attitude to his mother?» Kejriwal said at a rally where he demanded five answers from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat. The questions he asked were political softballs but the implication of bringing Bhagwat into his new political narrative is new and unusual. Kejriwal wanted to know if the RSS agreed with the BJP's politics of using central agencies to break up parties and topple opposition governments, and inducting «corrupt» leaders into its fold.

Creating 20 lakh jobs single agenda of NDA govt: Andhra IT Minister Nara Lokesh
Nara Lokesh on Saturday said that creating 20 lakh jobs is the single agenda of the TDP-led NDA government in the state, which was given a massive mandate of 93 per cent seats in the 2024 elections. Flood-like situation in Bihar: CM inspects affected areas, 5 lives lost so far
Nitish Kumar inspected the rising water levels of the Ganga at key locations in Patna and Hajipur on Saturday and urged district officials to «remain alert and be prepared to tackle any situation» in light of the developments. Officials said the river is flowing above the danger mark at Digha Ghat, Gandhi Ghat, Hathidah, and Maner in Patna district and consequently several low-lying areas in Patna and Hajipur (Vaishali district) have been inundated. The rising trend is not limited to the Ganga, almost all rivers in the state are affecting low-lying localities. So far, around five people -four in Saran and one in Bhojpur — have lost their lives after water inundated their areas, they added. Accompanied by senior officials, the Chief Minister inspected Ganga's water levels near J P Setu, Kangan Ghat, Gandhi Ghat, and Krishna Ghat.
