Researchers working inside a unit of BlackRock Inc. estimate that a reform of public financial institutions could free up as much as $4 trillion in additional spending to help emerging markets tackle the fallout of climate change.

Info Edge (India) Ltd. fell 1.23 per cent to Rs 4539.15 in Tuesday's session as of 01:44PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 24.72 points lower at 65945.32. Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap down start to the session.

LTIMindtree Ltd. traded at Rs 5422.05 on BSE at 01:34PM (IST) on Tuesday, down 0.92 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 4120.0 and a high of Rs 5638.5.

Adani Power shares today opened upside and went on to touch new all-time high of ₹428 apiece on NSE. Adani Ports share price today opened upside and went on to hit intraday high of ₹826 per share levels on NSE, logging near 4 per cent intraday gain against Friday close of ₹795.55 per share levels.

Pakistani rupee is set to end the year as Asia’s worst-performing currency and the losses are seen extending into 2024. The currency has fallen about 20% against the dollar this year and analysts say its troubles are far from over. BMI expects the currency will weaken to 350 rupees per dollar by the end of next year, while Karachi-based brokerage Topline Securities Ltd.

The proposed plan will focus on aspects including labour market and skill gap analysis, mapping demand for skilled workforce in the formal sector and employment generation capacity in each district. The demand and supply map of skilled manpower at the district level will then be used to formulate dedicated district plans that will flow into the state skill development plans, officials said. The Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is gearing up to launch the fourth phase of the flagship skilling scheme, which is yet to secure the cabinet's approval. However, the government has moved ahead with the first round of financial sanctions under the scheme, said one of the officials.

Reliance Industries Ltd., Europe’s top supplier of Indian diesel, draws more than third of its crude from Russia, the figures show. The surge in diesel imports from India also illustrates a fundamental shift in oil trading in the wake of the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine. A year ago, Russia was Europe’s top supplier of diesel, a fuel vital to the industrial and transport sectors. The European Union banned most seaborne imports of Russian crude in December and oil products in February.

private equity fund True North on Monday announced a foray into private credit, joining a slew of other entities which have started dabbling in this space. The firm said it had set up a fund in 2022, and has already raised over Rs 1,000 crore.

GrowXCD Finance has raised Rs 50 crore in a series A funding round from Lok Capital, of which the first tranche of Rs 30 crore has been closed. The Chennai-based firm, which focuses on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), plans to use the funds to set up its initial team, develop technologies and expand its footprint over the next 12-18 months.

Tamil Nadu, rain lashed several parts of the state, which witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Monday. Thriuporur, Thirukkalukundram, Singaperumal Kovil, Maraimalai Nagar, Kelambakkam received moderate to heavy rainfall with frequent gaps. Areas like Chengalpattu and Kanchicupram received continuous rainfall disrupting normalcy. For the past three days, Kanchipuram district has been experiencing moderate to heavy rain from time to time in different parts of Kanchipuram. Normal life was disrupted as the people struggled with their day-to-day chores.
