Williams Boeing SpaceX reports testing travelers International Sunita Williams is not an ordinary person: NASA astronaut's cousin
Sunita Williams returned to Earth after being stranded at the International Space Station for nine months, her cousin Dinesh Rawal on Wednesday said that the NASA astronaut will change the world as she is not an ordinary person. «When she returned, we jumped with joy… I was so happy… Till yesterday, I had an unsettling feeling deep in my heart… God has listened to our prayers and brought our Suni back safely… Sunita is not an ordinary person… She will change the world,» Dinesh Rawal told ANI. Earlier, NASA Crew-9 astronauts breathed earthly air for the first time in over nine months following the successful splashdown of SpaceX's Dragon capsule. The astronauts disembarked the capsule on stretchers, as is customary, CNN reported. This precaution is taken by SpaceX for all astronauts returning from long-duration space missions. Delays caused by issues with Boeing's Starliner spacecraft, which surfaced during a test flight piloted by Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams last summer, led to the astronaut duo remaining in space for nine months instead of a week, CNN reported. NASA's SpaceX Crew-9 completed the agency's ninth commercial crew rotation mission to the International Space Station on Tuesday, splashing down safely in a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, in the Gulf of America, according to a NASA statement.

Target BLOCK Action Election Doge Department International Judge blocks Elon Musk's DOGE from more USAID cuts, cites likely unconstitutionality
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) likely violated the Constitution by dismantling the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), indefinitely blocking DOGE from making further cuts. The ruling requires the Trump administration to restore email and computer access to all USAID employees, including those on administrative leave. However, it does not reverse firings or fully reinstate the agency. In one of the first lawsuits directly targeting Musk, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang in Maryland rejected the Trump administration’s claim that Musk is merely an adviser to President Donald Trump. Citing Musk’s public remarks and social media posts, Chuang found that Musk has “firm control over DOGE.” He highlighted a post in which Musk claimed to have “fed USAID into the wood chipper.” The judge warned that USAID’s ability to fulfill its legal obligations had likely been compromised. “Taken together, these facts support the conclusion that USAID has been effectively eliminated,” Chuang wrote in the preliminary injunction.

markets Reuters Manufacturing CEO NVIDIA electronic International Samsung CEO says company considering deals as it struggles for growth
Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it is looking to drive growth as it faced tough questions from shareholders after its failure to ride an artificial intelligence boom made it one of the worst-performing tech stocks last year. The South Korean firm has been suffering from weak earnings and sagging share prices in recent quarters after falling behind rivals in advanced memory chips and contract chip manufacturing, which have enjoyed strong demand from AI projects. «I have never been to a Samsung AGM since I became its shareholder in 2000, but I wanted to see what executives have to say (this time) and what they will do,» a 65-year old shareholder who only gave his family name, Lee, told Reuters ahead of the meeting. «They should go all-in on the memory chip business, where they can excel, or do something about the foundry,» he said. In internal meetings, Samsung has acknowledged it has lost ground. This is particularly true in semiconductors, where it lags SK Hynix in high bandwidth memory (HBM) chips that Nvidia and others rely on for AI graphic processing units.

markets economy Election Trade Experts War International Is the US headed for recession? Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and White House allies debate the economy as Wall Street signals trouble ahead
Historically, trade wars have proven economically corrosive. The 1930 Smoot-Hawley tariffs worsened the Great Depression by slashing international trade by 65%. While Trump’s team insists today’s globalized economy is more resilient, experts caution that modern supply chains are deeply interdependent—a single tariff can disrupt industries worldwide. As the 2024 election looms, the stakes couldn’t be higher: voters grappling with inflation may sour on “America First” policies if pocketbook pressures mount.
