Following protocol for long-duration missions, they were carried out on stretchers as a precautionary measure, CNN reported. SpaceX routinely follows this procedure to help astronauts readjust to gravity after extended stays in space. Apart from Elon Musk, many were overjoyed by their return, one of them being Mahindra Groups chairman.

Sunita Williams returned to Earth after being stranded at the International Space Station for nine months, her cousin Dinesh Rawal on Wednesday said that the NASA astronaut will change the world as she is not an ordinary person. «When she returned, we jumped with joy… I was so happy… Till yesterday, I had an unsettling feeling deep in my heart… God has listened to our prayers and brought our Suni back safely… Sunita is not an ordinary person… She will change the world,» Dinesh Rawal told ANI. In one of the first lawsuits directly targeting Musk, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang in Maryland rejected the Trump administration’s claim that Musk is merely an adviser to President Donald Trump. Citing Musk’s public remarks and social media posts, Chuang found that Musk has “firm control over DOGE.” He highlighted a post in which Musk claimed to have “fed USAID into the wood chipper.” The judge warned that USAID’s ability to fulfill its legal obligations had likely been compromised. “Taken together, these facts support the conclusion that USAID has been effectively eliminated,” Chuang wrote in the preliminary injunction.

Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it is looking to drive growth as it faced tough questions from shareholders after its failure to ride an artificial intelligence boom made it one of the worst-performing tech stocks last year. IndusInd Bank has not sought any fresh capital from its promoters even though it suffered a huge loss in its net worth following an accounting discrepancy, IIHL chairman Ashok Hinduja said on Tuesday. IIHL, the investment arm of Hinduja Group, has recently got RBI's in-principle approval to raise its stake in IndusInd Bank from 16 per cent to 26 per cent. According to Hinduja, IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL) — the Mauritius-based promoters of the private sector lender — has committed to infuse capital into the bank in case there is a requirement. However, the bank has not sought any fresh infusion as the overall capital adequacy is at a comfortable level of over 15 per cent, he told reporters on the sideline of an event.

Technical issues with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft led to the duo staying longer at the ISS than planned. The SpaceX Dragon capsule, which is bringing the astronauts back, is set to land at 5:57 pm ET off the coast of Florida, if the weather conditions are amenable. Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are not the only astronauts to have completed months aboard the ISS. The record for spending the maximum number of days goes to another astronaut.
