Tangled in steel with no way out: How the crew stuck in Baltimore is faring
Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore is a jarring visual: Chunks of steel jut above the water like metallic icebergs. Twisted gray beams protrude in crooked positions. From a park near Fort McHenry, visitors can see the giant cargo ship that struck the bridge and remains lodged in the wreckage. Less visible, however, are the 22 crew members from India who have remained on the ship, named the Dali, since the disaster Tuesday.

BJP govt subverting democracy and Constitution: Opposition leaders
Lok Sabha elections with a scathing attack on Narendra Modi government, accusing it of subverting democracy and Constitution. All major Opposition leaders — Sonia Gandhi, son Rahul, daughter Priyanka, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Sitaram Yechury, D Raja, Uddhav Thackerary, son Aditya, Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Champai Soren — came together at 'Loktantra Bachao Rally' to press for the release of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand's former CM Hemant Soren. Kejriwal's March 21 arrest is the immediate trigger for the entire Opposition to come together, but the finer optics of the rally went far beyond. For starters, Trinamool Congress, which could not hammer out a seat-sharing pact with the Congress in West Bengal, came out strongly in support of the INDIA bloc, with leader Derek O'Brien stating that his party «was, is and will be with INDIA bloc». Sonia, who has been keeping away from most public engagements, made a rare appearance and sat next to Kejriwal's wife Sunita to show her support. Two chairs were kept empty on the stage for Kejriwal and Soren to emphasise that Opposition leaders' arrest by central investigative agencies was the central point of the rally.

Congress questions CBI clearance for Praful Patel in 'Rs 30,000 crore Air India scam'
Congress has questioned the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) closing a case against Praful Patel in the BJP-alleged irregularities in leasing aircraft for Air India, alleging that the former civil aviation minister is being let off for joining the ruling alliance after splitting NCP. The main opposition party has recycled BJP's 2014 election material, alleging a «Rs 30,000-crore Air India scam» and blaming Patel for it, and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come clean on his past statements against the UPA regime over the alleged «Air India scam» as well as BJP's allegations against Patel over purchasing a Mumbai property allegedly from terror accused Iqbal Mirchi's family. «Months after Praful Patel joined the BJP alliance in Maharashtra by splitting NCP, the CBI filed a closure report in a 2017 case of corruption, alleged by the BJP in its 2014 'Chargesheet',» Congress leader Pawan Khera said at an official briefing here on Saturday.
