The actor, who plays the titular character, announced on social media that production for the third and final installment of the franchise has resumed after the 118-day actors' strike that concluded on November 8. Hardy returns as journalist Eddie Brock and his unwitting sidekick and parasite Venom, the otherworldly lethal protector in Sony Pictures' universe of Marvel characters. «Venom 3», initially slated for release on July 12, 2024, was rescheduled to November 8, 2024, to allow sufficient time to resume shooting and complete postproduction work following the end of the strike.
