UPS MET VISA Mobile country 2024 American passport holder travelling to Europe? Here are new requirements and approvals you require from 2024 under ETIAS
ETIAS) before visiting. Currently, U.S. travelers enjoy visa-free access to numerous global destinations, but the implementation of ETIAS could affect this privilege. The application process, available on the official ETIAS website and mobile application, incurs a 7 euros or $7.79 U.S. dollars fee, with all communication conducted via email. Once approved, travelers can stay in European countries requiring ETIAS for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, and they must possess a valid ETIAS throughout their stay. The EU encourages applying well in advance, with most applications processed within minutes, though some may take up to 14 days if additional documentation is needed. The authorization is linked to the traveler's travel document, like a U.S. passport, and both documents are necessary for boarding flights, buses, or ships to enter European countries that require ETIAS. However, ETIAS doesn't guarantee automatic entry; border guards will verify if entry conditions are met, and non-compliance will result in refusal of entry. The ETIAS travel authorization is valid for three years or until the expiry of the travel document used in the application, whichever comes first. Travelers must ensure that all information, including name and passport number, is correct to avoid issues at the border. If an application is rejected, reasons for the decision will be provided, along with information on how to appeal. As this new requirement approaches, potential European travelers from the U.S. should familiarize themselves with the ETIAS process to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey.

UPS MET Assurant POT Displaced Meiteis flee Mizoram; security beefed up across state
Meiteis from Manipur, who had fled to Mizoram after violence erupted in their state, have started fleeing Mizoram as well after an organisation put out a warning that if any violence should happen to the Meiteis in Mizoram, the Meiteis themselves should bear the responsibility for it. Around 41 people belonging to 15 families have reached Assam's Lakhipur while several others have taken flights out of Mizoram. The Peace Accord MNF Returnees' Association (PAMRA) in a press release had appealed to Meiteis living in Mizoram to leave the state. «The situation has become tense and it is no longer safe for Meiteis living in Mizoram due to the barbaric and heinous acts committed by miscreants in Manipur,» the PAMRA said in a statement in Mizo language. It said there was anger among Mizo youths, who were deeply anguished over the atrocious acts that the Meiteis have done to the Zo or Kuki people in Manipur. PAMRA's C Lalthenlova, however, said it was just an appeal for safety and not a warning. He said that they did not ask the entire Meitei community to leave but only those from Manipur. Mizoram home commissioner H Lalengmawia held a meeting with PAMRA members during which the latter clarified that the press release issued by them was an advisory requesting Meiteis in Mizoram to exercise caution in the light of the public sentiments regarding the ongoing ethnic conflict in Manipur. PAMRA members regretted that their press release was misconstrued and decided to withdraw it.
