The Federation of Karnataka State Private Transport Associations in Bengaluru announced a 'bandh' scheduled to start from midnight of September 10 and continue until midnight of September 11. The strike is expected to disrupt transportation services. As a result of this bandh, some schools have already declared a holiday for Monday, according to official sources cited by the news agency PTI.

REC has signed an initial pact with PFC committing higher revenue from operations in FY24 and FY25, its CMD Vivek Kumar Dewangan said on Saturday. The memorandum of understanding has been signed as per the DPE (Department of Public Enterprises) Performance Evaluation System for FY24 and FY25 for Central Public Sector Enterprises, Dewangan told PTI. «As per the MoU, REC is committed to improving the revenue from operations from Rs 43,420 crore targeted in FY 2022-23 to Rs 46,935 crore in FY 2023-24 and Rs 56,322 crore in FY 2024-25,» he said. The Mou was signed on Friday between Dewangan and Parminder Chopra, CMD of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) in presence of other senior officials from of the companies, in Gurugram. G20 Summit, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that feeder buses between Delhi Aerocity Station of Airport Line and Terminal 1 will be unavailable from 8-10 September. G20 Summit, New Delhi's New Delhi district witnessed the implementation of strict traffic regulations on Friday morning. As reported by PTI citing officials, restrictions have been imposed on online delivery services, with the exception of medicines, within the vicinity of the G20 Summit venue and the hotels designated for the attending delegates.

Delhi district on Friday morning while online delivery services, except for medicines, have been barred in the area where the G20 summit venue and hotels for delegates are located, officials said. The New Delhi district has been designated as Controlled Zone-I from Friday 5 am till Sunday 11.59 pm because of the summit.

Delhi area, which houses the G20 Summit venue and hotels where delegates will be staying, will be put under a tight security ring from Friday morning and there will a slew of traffic restrictions in place, officials said. The movement of vehicles will be regulated in the New Delhi district as the area will be considered as Controlled Zone-I from 5 am on Friday till 11.59 pm on Sunday due the G20 summit. However, movement of ambulances will be allowed and local residents of the area and tourists accommodated there will be permitted to move after presenting proper identification papers, police said. They further stated that all online delivery services, except medicines, will be barred in the New Delhi district during the G20 Summit. According to officials, police will be maintaining a hawk-eye vigil during the summit, with the assistance of over 50,000 personnel, K9 dog squads and mounted police. In an advisory released on August 25, the Delhi Traffic Police has listed out restrictions on the movement of goods vehicles, buses, auto-rickshaws and taxis and has urged people to make maximum use of metro services in view of regulated movement of traffic. Police have also urged people not to visit India Gate and Kartavya Path for activities such as walking, cycling and picnicking in view of the G20 Summit. Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S S Yadav had said as India Gate and Kartavya Path have been «designated in the controlled zone», the Delhi Police appeals to people not to visit the area for «walking, cycling or picnicking» during the G20 Summit. Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC) has taken a significant step towards advancing the long-awaited East-West Metro's Sector V-Haldiram extension project. KMRC has applied to the railway ministry, requesting full funding amounting to Rs 2,265 crore for this critical undertaking. Over the years, the progress of this 6.6km extension has been impeded due to disagreements between the state government and the railway ministry concerning cost-sharing.

Bengaluru metro updates: The purple line of the Bengaluru metro is reportedly going to get fully operational on 15 September. MoneyControl news reported that the two stretches on the purple line, Kengeri – Challaghatta and KR Puram – Baiyappanahalli will become operational after 15 September for the public. With the completion of work, the purple line will connect east Bengaluru to most parts of the city.

₹10 lakh in health insurance coverage, while 27 percent have less than ₹5 lakh, revealed a survey conducted by insurance company ACKO in six Indian metro cities. In the survey, which covered over 1,000 people in the age group of 28 to 55, ACKO found out that following the COVID-19 pandemic, awareness about health insurance has increased. However, it also added that the health coverage of most Indians is insufficient compared to the medical expenses.
