Investing.com — U.S. stocks were falling as investors awaited Friday’s jobs report for June after an unexpectedly strong private payrolls report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 117.25 points, or 0.34%, at the open to 34,171.39. The S&P 500 opened lower by 24.20 points, or 0.54%, at 4,422.62, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 138.49 points, or 1.00%, to 13,653.17 at the opening bell.

Stock exchange giant Nasdaq has refiled Valkyrie’s application for a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) with Coinbase as its “surveillance-sharing” partner. 

LME Clear, the London Metal Exchange’s clearing house, has appointed David Warren as its new chair.

Reuters, which added the cryptocurrency rose by as much as 3.28 percent. According to crypto trading exchange CoinMarketCap, the current market capitalization of bitcoin rose by 2.2 percent at $610,122,773,744.
