Prajwal Revanna scandal: Not just Lok Sabha elections, the impact could go beyond
Karnataka government on Thursday issued a lookout notice for the suspended JD(S) leader. Prajwal’s counsel has requested seven days’ time for the MP to appear before SIT since he is out of Bengaluru. While the Congress has mounted a big attack on the BJP which is in poll alliance with the JD(S), Amit Shah, the Union home minister, countered the allegations, stressing the BJP's position against crimes committed against women. Shah questioned the Congress-led government's failure to take action in Karnataka before the allegations came to light. The Revanna effect on Lok Sabha polls Elections in the South Karnataka which is dominated by the Vokkaliga community the Gowda family belongs to are already over in the previous phase. Now constituencies in the Central and North Karnataka will go to polls on May 7. The BJP has accused the Congress govenrment of holding back on the Revanna scandal till polls on the Vokkaliga-dominated seats were over, fearing the community's anger against the Congress govenrment and its impact on the polls.

Apple is right not to rush headlong into generative AI
antitrust, Asian competition, the existential question of innovation and growth—there are parallels between then and now. Competition watchdogs in the EU are demanding compliance from March 7th with rules that for the first time breach the “walled garden" which keeps users and developers bound within Apple’s playpen. On March 4th they fined the company €1.8bn ($2bn) for allegedly stifling competition in music streaming.

Kharge shoots another letter to Modi, says people are not voting for you as your lies are losing effect
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's letter to Phase 3 candidates, Congress president Kharge launched a scathing attack on the PM by claiming that the lies in the speeches are not having the effect intended. «From the tone and content of the letter it seems that there is a lot of desperation and worry in you which is leading you to use language that does not suit the office of the Prime Minister. The letter makes it look like the lies in your speeches are not having the effect you intended and now you want your candidates to amplify your lies. Repeating a lie a thousand times will not make it the truth,» said Kharge in the letter shared on social media X.

BJP will not remove reservations, nor will it allow Congress to do so: Amit Shah
Amit Shah on Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party will never do away with reservations for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Class, nor will it allow the Congress to do so. Congress' tactic was to lie repeatedly, he alleged, and advised its president Mallikarjun Kharge not to speak lies for the sake of the «family» (referring to Nehru-Gandhi family) as eventually he would be blamed for its loss in the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at a rally at Katghora town in Chhattisgarh in support of Saroj Pandey, the BJP candidate from the Korba constituency, Shah accused Congress of nurturing terrorism and Naxalism to win elections. «Congress has one formula — speak lies loudly, publicly and keep repeating them. They say if (prime minister Narendra) Modi gets majority for the third term, he will scrap reservations. They circulated my fake video. We have been in power for ten years, Modi did not remove reservations, nor will he ever do it,» the BJP leader said. The PM used his majority in Parliament to scrap Article 370 and ban triple talaq, construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya and introduce the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, he said. «I have come to give you Modi's guarantee that as long as there is even one BJP MP in Parliament, we will neither remove the reservation for STs, SCs and OBCs, nor will we allow the Congress party to do so,» the Union minister added.

If Hindus still in danger after decade of BJP rule, it should not return to power: Kirti Azad
Kirti Azad sought to poke holes in the BJP's Hindu nationalism plank, saying if the saffron party persists in using the «Hindu Khatre mein» (Hindus in danger) narrative despite being in power for ten years, it raises doubts about the party's necessity to return to power. The former BJP MP-turned-TMC nominee from West Bengal's Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat, also said the issue of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) was a «ploy to communalise the polls» since the saffron camp «lacks an impressive report card to present before the masses». In an interview with PTI, Azad highlighted India's diversity and argued against the feasibility of implementing UCC in such a varied cultural landscape while stressing that history belies BJP's claims of Hindu insecurity under previous regimes. «During the Mughal rule, Hindus were not under threat; they were not in peril during British rule; even under multiple governments post-Independence, Hindus never faced any perceived danger. So how come Hindus are suddenly in danger when a Hindu nationalist party is in power for the last 10 years?» he argued.

HC asks Ashneer Grover not to create third party rights in shares transferred by BharatPe cofounder
Delhi High Court on Tuesday asked payment app BharatPe's former MD Ashneer Grover not to transfer or create any third-party rights in the shares transferred to him by the company's co-founder Bhavik Koladiya. Justice Prateek Jalan passed the interim order on a lawsuit by Koladiya seeking to reclaim the shares he transferred to his erstwhile colleague. The judge opined that the plaintiff, Koladiya, made out a prima facie case for the grant of such an injunction as he would suffer irreparable loss and prejudice if third-party rights were created in the shares being claimed by him.
