Yadav will be visiting the two European nations from November 23 to December 1. In a statement, MP Congress chief Jitu Patwari said, «An open drama going on in the name of investment in Madhya Pradesh. Crores of rupees are being spent in the name of government publicity. When the CM and officials got bored of roaming in various states, they are now exploring the possibilities of government tourism abroad.»

The judge noted the submissions made by senior advocates Vikas Pahwa and Geeta Luthra, appearing for the accused, that Delhi High Court directed status quo in the FIR, based on which the ED lodged its case, by an order passed on July 30, 2024. «Since FIR forms part of the predicate offence (based on which the ED lodged the present case), the ED ought to have abided by the said order. However, in a brazen manner and in disregard of orders passed by a Constitutional court, the ED proceeded to arrest the accused.

Delhi Traffic Police has issued around 550 challans, imposing a total fine of over Rs one crore, to BS III petrol and BS IV diesel vehicles on Friday on the first day of the ban on these vehicles under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) III in the national capital, officials said. According to police, they have also issued challans to 4,855 vehicles imposing a total of Rs 4.8 crore in fines for not having Pollution Under Control Certificates (PUCC) in the national capital on Friday. A fine of Rs 10,000 is imposed on motorists for not having a valid pollution under control (PUC) certificate. These challans get released from courts. Private BS III petrol and BS IV diesel vehicles were banned from roads with violations inviting a penalty of Rs 20,000. Diesel and petrol inter-state buses from the NCR cities to Delhi are also banned. A senior police officer said that they have issued a total of 293 challans for BS-III and BS-IV vehicles in the eastern, central and northern ranges of the city. A total of 2,404 challans have been issued for not having PUCC certificates.

This comes down to Rs 59 per capita and Rs 2.27 lakh per panchayat over the five-year period for 2.25 lakh gram panchayats across the country. The total population coming under these panchayats was more than 86.95 crore in the said period. Among the states, Gujarat collected the highest amount as OSR at Rs 829.75 crore, while Kerala came second collecting Rs 802.95 crore.

This makes up 65.4% of the total Rs 1,76,201 crore spent through credit cards, ToI reported on November 16 citing latest data. The survey, which included 700 credit card users, found that 80% took advantage of special credit card offers available on e-commerce platforms. The main attractions were discounts, no-cost EMI options, and better deals overall. This trend started earlier in the year. In April, online credit card spending was Rs 94,516 crore, which was 60% of the total Rs 1,56,498 crore spent. The portion of online spending grew to 63.4% in July, dipped slightly to 62.4% in August, and then reached 65.3% in September.
