Radisson Hotel Group announced the signing of 10 new hotels on Wednesday. The company said the signings materialised over the past four days, and are spread across brands, including Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson Individuals, and its brand extension Radisson Individuals Retreats. The Group also entered five new markets and will be the first to open internationally branded hotels in Jawai (Rajasthan), Sagar (Madhya Pradesh), Yavatmal (Maharashtra), Ooty (Tamil Nadu) and Calicut (Kerala). Bandhan Employees' Welfare Trust, which is in the midst of a storm following agitations by a section of its members against Bandhan group founder Chandra Shehar Ghosh for alleged irregularities in running the trust, has termed the agitation «baseless and motivated, with an ulterior motive» and is planning to seek legal intervention on the matter. At the end of March, the RBI’s total gold holdings amounted to 822.1 tons. A December 2023 survey by global investment manager Invesco of 57 central banks and other asset managers showed that they had increased exposure to gold 8-10 years ago, keeping it London and using it for swaps and to enhance yields, but that they were now moving the reserves back to their own countries, underscoring its role as a safe-haven asset. From 50% in 2020, the share of gold reserves held in their own countries is estimated to have gone up to 68% by December 2023 and will likely rise to 74% within the next five years, according to the survey.
