Narayana Murthy explains how India can overcome poverty with 70-hour workweek
Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy has once again defended his stance on the need for a 70-hour workweek. During a recent visit to Kolkata, which he described as «the most cultured place in the entire country,» Murthy emphasized that India’s youth must embrace hard work if the country is to reach its full potential on the global stage. He addressed the issue at the centenary launch of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, sharing his thoughts with RPSG Group chairman Sanjiv Goenka. Murthy stressed that India’s young workforce must aim higher to achieve national progress. «At Infosys, we compared ourselves with the best global companies, and I can tell you, we Indians still have a lot of work ahead,» Murthy said. He pointed out that 800 million Indians rely on free rations, a sign of the nation’s widespread poverty. «If we are not in a position to work hard, then who will?» he asked, urging the audience to take responsibility for their collective future.

'Lucky Bashkar' inspires 4 Vizag students to elope from hostel to try their own luck; netizens are not amused
Lucky Bashkar’ has now inspired four youngsters to try their own luck. In a startling development, four ninth-grade students from a hostel in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, have been reported missing after being influenced by the Telugu period crime drama, starring Dulquer Salmaan. The film, which narrates the gripping tale of a man's rise from poverty to wealth, appears to have motivated the children to leave their home in pursuit of similar dreams. The missing boys, identified as Charan Teja, Raghu, Karthik, and Kiran Kumar, were residing in a hostel in the Maharanipet area. Reports suggest that the group was captivated by the protagonist’s journey in the film and decided to replicate it in real life. CCTV footage, now circulating widely on social media, shows the boys scaling the hostel gate and passing their bags over before escaping one by one. According to sources, the children were so enamored by the movie’s plot that they meticulously planned their escape. Before leaving, they reportedly informed their friends that they would not return until they had earned enough money to buy luxury cars, mirroring the film’s storyline.
