Reliance Jio continued to outpace Bharti Airtel in the race to grab Vodafone Idea's subscribers in the month of May according to the latest subscriber data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) Tuesday. The market leader added 3 million subscribers during the month as compared to 1.3 million added by its closest competitor Airtel. Vodafone Idea lost 2.8 million subscribers in May, data released by the sector regulator indicated. Jio's total subscriber base at the end of May was 436.3 million, Airtel's was 372.3 million while Vodafone Idea's customer base shrunk to 230.9 million. Jio's subscriber market share for May was 38.17% (37.90% in April) while Airtel commanded 32.57% (32.45% in April). Vodafone Idea further ceded market share to peers as its share decreased to 20.20% in May from 20.45% in April. Airtel's active user base grew to 100.09% (99.81% in April) in May while Jio saw active user base increase to 94.46% (93.99% in April). Vodafone Idea saw a marginal increase in active users at 88.88% in May as compared to 88.57% in April.

He was a rising star in the off-road cycling scene and his passion for cycling was evident through his racing and camaraderie with his teammates and local community.» The cycling association said in the statement, «White was focused on his final preparations before leaving for Glasgow, Scotland to compete in the Junior Men’s Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Championships on August 10, 2023.» Cycling USA said further, «We offer our heartfelt condolences to the White family, his teammates, friends, and the Boulder community during this incredibly difficult time.»

Fairstreet Sports, the India commercial rights partner of Dorna Sports, intends to invest more than Rs 250 crore in the organisation of MotoGP Bharat, with expectations of a positive impact on the local economy of over Rs 950 crore, said Pushkar Nath Srivastava, Founder and COO, Fairstreet Sports. «In the first year, we anticipate MotoGP Bharat to have an average economic impact of Rs 962 crore, on Greater Noida and Delhi-NCR,» said Srivastava. He added that the event will create thousands of temporary jobs in addition to bringing in a large influx of domestic and foreign tourists. Fairstreet Sports has bagged the India rights from Dorna Sports, S.L. which is the commercial rights' holder for the motorcycling sport of Grand Prix racing. The investment includes the commercial rights fee payable to Dorna as well as infrastructure and logistics.
