SBI Mutual Fund has announced the launch of the NFO of SBI Quant Fund, an open-ended equity scheme following a Quant-based investing theme. The New Fund Offer (NFO) of the scheme will open for subscription on December 4 and close on December 18. The scheme will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase within five business days from the date of allotment. The investment objective of the scheme is to seek to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity-related instruments selected based on quant model themes.

Mahayuti even as the alliance continued to remain in the throes of government formation more than week after it swept the Maharashtra assembly polls. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday that the situation in neighbouring Manipur will have an impact on the state. The government of Manipur has announced the extension of mobile internet suspension across nine districts for two additional days. The ban was extended till 5:15 pm on December 3. Air Quality Index (AQI) of 346, officials said. The city's air quality is likely to remain in the «very poor» category for the next three days due to unfavourable weather conditions, they added. Delhi's 24-hour average AQI was recorded at 346 at 4 pm on Saturday, marking a slight rise from 331 recorded on Friday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh on Saturday said National Defence Academy (NDA) cadets must carry forward the vast experience of their training to service academies and bonds they made at the institute in planning and execution of operations. The Air Chief Marshal was the reviewing officer of the 147th course of the NDA and addressed the Passing Out Parade at the tri-service training institute in Khadakwasla. Speaking on the occasion, he said, «The vast experience of training at the NDA needs to be carried forward to the respective service academies, and the bond created here must be carried towards planning and execution of our operations. TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee on Thursday welcomed the extension granted to the joint parliamentary committee examining the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and said it would enable many more stakeholders, including states, to place their views. The Lok Sabha on Thursday adopted a resolution to extend the tenure of the Joint Committee on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill till the last day of the Budget Session next year. Committee chairperson and BJP leader Jagdambika Pal moved the resolution in the Lok Sabha, which approved it with a voice vote. Banerjee, a member of the panel, said, «Yesterday (Wednesday), in the JPC (joint parliamentary committee) meeting, a resolution was moved for extension and it had to be placed before the Lok Sabha. Accordingly, the honourable chairman moved that motion for extension of time for submission of the report and that time has been extended till the last day of the Budget Session.»
