Labour secretary Sumita Dawra on Wednesday held a meeting with EPFO officials on the ELI schemes as EPFO is the implementing body for the three schemes to be administered by the ministry of labour and employment. “The labour secretary stressed on the need for the field officers to fully understand the various provisions of the scheme and to hold regular interactions with employers’ and employees’ associations to give the required push to the scheme,” the ministry said in a statement issued after the meeting.

NMDC Steel is set to break-even in the current financial year, chairman and managing director Amitava Mukherjee told shareholders on Tuesday. The steel maker was demerged from state-owned miner NMDC in 2022, while its shares listed independently in 2023.
