On November 08, the company board approved the sub-division of equity shares in a 1:10 ratio. “The Board of Directors of the Company passed the Resolution at the Board Meeting held today, December 12, 2023, and fixed the ‘Record Date’ i.e., Friday, December 29, 2023, for the purpose of sub-division or split of each equity share having a face value of ₹10 to a face value of Re 1," the company said in today's exchange filing.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) rose over 4% to Rs 185.6 in Tuesday's trade on BSE after a joint venture of the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a project worth Rs 543 from Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation. «RVNL-URC joint venture emerges as the lowest bidder for part design and construction of an elevated viaduct, five elevated metro rail stations (viz. Shaheed Bagh, Khajrana Chauraha, Bengali Chauraha, Patrakar Colony and Palasia Chauraha) and ramp for Indore Metro Rail Project,» the company said in an exchange filing. The project is to be completed in 1,092 days. At 11.03 am, the scrip was trading 1.5% higher at Rs 180.8 on BSE.

YES Bank share price jumped over 7 per cent in morning trade on BSE on Tuesday, December 12, amid reports that the lender has invited expressions of interest for the sale of NPAs worth ₹4,234 crore. "YES Bank has invited expressions of interest (EoI) for the proposed sale of NPAs worth ₹4,234 crore," according to a report by The Hindu Businessline. "The private sector lender has put on the block corporate NPAs worth ₹3,092 crore which includes fund-based outstanding of ₹3,073.66 crore and non-fund-based outstanding of ₹17.83 crore as of October 31, 2023," the report further added.

Buy or sell stocks for today: Indian stock market continued its ritual of touching new highs with BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 indices crossing 70,000 and 21,000 mark respectively. Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Centre's decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution, which conferred special status on the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, ruling that it was a temporary provision and that the President had the power to revoke it. A five-judge Constitution bench also unanimously upheld the Centre's decision, of August 5, 2019, to divide the former state into two Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, while directing that statehood be restored to J&K «at the earliest» and that elections be held to its legislative assembly by September next year. The bench, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, held that «Article 370 was a feature of asymmetric federalism and not sovereignty». It delivered three judgments, one authored by the CJI, with inputs from justices BR Gavai and Surya Kant, and two separate yet concurring judgments by justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Sanjiv Khanna. 'No Internal Sovereignty for J&K' The bench ruled that the former state did not «retain any element of sovereignty after the execution of instrument of accession and issuance of the Proclamation (November 25, 1949) by which the Constitution of India was adopted» and that J&K does not have «internal sovereignty which is distinguishable from the powers and privileges enjoyed by other states in the country». It ruled that «the President in exercise of power under Article 370(3) can unilaterally issue a notification that Article 370 ceases to exist».
