Be harsh when you see serious fudging, NFRA tells auditors
how to handle some of the failings in financial statements, and asking them to stay alert, display professional scepticism, and question unsubstantiated assertions of company managements. In June, the regulator clarified that quitting an audit assignment does not absolve a statutory auditor of the responsibility to report fraud noticed during the audit, and that absence of audit documentation and failure to submit audit files to the regulator is clear evidence that the audit is unreliable and invalid.

'Learn to behave': Novak Djokovic explains row with British fans
Djokovic said he confronted British fans because of their «disrespect» after Serbia beat Great Britain in the Davis Cup last eight on Thursday. The world number one guided Serbia to a 2-0 win by beating Cameron Norrie 6-4, 6-4 in the second singles rubber but then told a group of British fans to «learn how to behave» afterwards. Djokovic was enraged as some fans tried to drown out his victory speech with drums, which the superstar said he felt he had to respond to. «The entire match pretty much, there was disrespect but it's something I have to be prepared for in the Davis Cup,» Djokovic, 36, told reporters. «It's normal that fans step over the line and in the heat of the moment you react too and in a way show that you don't allow this kind of behaviour. »They can do whatever they want but I'm going to respond to that." During the match record 24-time Grand Slam winner Djokovic was annoyed by the same fans causing a disturbance and cupped his hand to his ear after winning a point in the second set. However his temper boiled over when they would not allow him to speak undisturbed after his convincing victory. «I was trying to talk and they purposely started to play the drums, to not let me talk,» he said. «They were trying to annoy me the entire match, so we had a little bit of a chat in the end.» Djokovic's victory pits him on a collision course with Italy's Jannik Sinner, whom he beat on Sunday in the ATP Finals to clinch his seventh title of the season. Sinner beat Djokovic in the group stage of that competition and the pair are set to meet again when Italy face Serbia in the Davis Cup semi-finals on Saturday. «Third time in a bit more than a week, it's gonna be great for tennis fans and for both Italian

Former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo sued for sexual assault by former staffer
Andrew Cuomo, the former New York Governor, is facing a sexual assault lawsuit from his former executive assistant, Brittany Commisso, the New York Post reported. The lawsuit was filed right before the Adult Survivors Act deadline, with Commisso claiming her former boss subjected her to tasks that were “humiliating and demeaning”, along with unwanted “hugs, kisses, sexual touching of the buttocks, and forcible touching of the breast.” Commisso, who is married and has one child, became part of the governor's team in 2017. She has previously claimed that Cuomo groped her within the Executive Mansion, resulting in a misdemeanor criminal complaint against the former governor. The Albany County district attorney dismissed the criminal sexual assault case in 2022. Several people have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against prominent celebrities and politicians in the past few days, just before the expiration of a New York law that enables survivors to pursue legal action for sexual abuse, irrespective of the statute of limitations.

Who is Raphael Varane? French Manchester United defender linked with move away from club after “broken” relationship with manager Erik Ten Hag
Raphael Varane, the 30-year-old veteran French central defender who also plays for English Premier League football club Manchester United is looking for a move away from the club, as his relationship with Erik Ten Hag, the current club manager, has been reported to be “practically broken down.” Signs of their relationship being under pressure could be understood when Ten Hag hinted that Varane had to fight for his place in the team as his defensive compatriot Harry McGuire has been performing well on the pitch. Ten Hag said on Thursday, McGuire “took his chance” when Varane was “absent” due to his injury. He also added that such “internal competition” is a normality in clubs which have a big stature like Manchester United. Furthermore, he stated that players have to “seize” their chance when it comes and other players have to fight for their place in the starting 11. According to reports, Varane’s relationship with Ten Hag broke down after this interview took place.
