Delhi Airport gets net zero certification
Delhi Airport operated by the GMR group has become the first airport in India to successfully achieve Net Zero Carbon Emission Airport status Level 5 certification under the Airport Council International’s (ACI) Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme. This prestigious certification recognizes the airport's commitment to reaching and maintaining a net zero carbon balance for emissions under its control (Scope 1 and 2), while also extending efforts to influence and report on all other emissions (Scope 3). Delhi Airport's remarkable achievement of Level 5 certification underscores its leadership in sustainability and carbon management. The airport had initially set an ambitious goal to become a “Net Zero Carbon Emission Airport” by 2030. Through relentless efforts, innovative strategies, and proactive initiatives such as the adoption of renewable energy, development of green airport infrastructures, promotion of electric vehicles, and implementation of zero waste to landfill programs, DIAL has met its target well ahead of schedule.

View: New Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol could finally tame Howard Schultz
Starbucks Corp. CEO Brian Niccol is a star executive who is widely considered the best in the business. Quite frankly, it’s surprising the company was able to hire him. Despite the coffee giant being one off the world’s most iconic and powerful brands, Starbucks has a problem for any incoming CEO. And that problem is named Howard Schultz. As Starbucks’ longtime CEO who became synonymous with the company he all but founded, Schultz can’t seem to let go. He’s twice boomeranged back into the top job when the company hit turbulence. And since he departed from the board a year ago, he has become a meddler — criticizing his successor Laxman Narasimhan and the board in a LinkedIn post and on a podcast, even though he handpicked Narasimhan, trained him and set an aggressive growth plan on his way out the door.

India issues advisory to nationals in three regions in Russia amid security concerns
Indian embassy here on Wednesday advised its citizens, including students, residing in Bryansk, Belgorod, and Kursk regions of Russia to relocate temporarily to safer places, citing recent «security incidents» in these areas following the intensification of the Russia-Ukraine war. The security advisory was issued hours after Russia's Belgorod border region declared an emergency under heavy shelling by Ukrainian forces that are pressing a major cross-border incursion into the adjacent Kursk region for a second week. An emergency was declared in Kursk last Saturday after Ukrainian forces on August 6 launched an incursion into the region, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, with both sides reporting casualties and territorial gains. «In view of the recent security incidents in Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions, Indian nationals are advised to take necessary precautions and temporarily relocate outside these regions,» the Indian embassy said.
