Tata Technologies on Friday fell 2% to the day’s low of Rs 989 on BSE after the company recorded a 15% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its quarterly net profit at Rs 162.03 crore. The company’s net profit was weighed down by an increase in expenses incurred for the purchase of technology solutions. Sequentially, the net profit has increased by 3.04%.

DLF Ltd. slipped 3.3 per cent to Rs 817.05 in Friday's trade as of 12:38PM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 847.7 and low of Rs 808.55 during the session.

Indian Hotels Company Ltd. rose 1.55 per cent to Rs 573.1 in Friday's trade. It hit an intraday high of Rs 583.4 and low of Rs 571.15, respectively, during the day. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 663.4 and low of Rs 371.45.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 139.2 points down at 24661.65, while BSE Sensex was down 317.09 points at 81026.37 at the time of writing this report.

Persistent Systems fell 7% in Friday’s early trade to the day’s low of Rs 4539.95 after the company reported a 2.8% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) decline in its profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 315.32 crore for the quarter ended June 30 2024. However, on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, PAT rose 34% against Rs 228.77 crore in the first quarter of FY24.

Israeli military is checking whether an explosion in central Tel Aviv in the early hours of Friday was caused by a drone attack, the army said. Police said the body of a man was found in an apartment close to the explosion and said the circumstances were being investigated. «Earlier tonight (Friday), an explosion sounded in the area of central Tel Aviv. We are looking into the reports that it was an aerial target. The incident is under review,» the military said in a brief statement.

New Delhi: The regulatory scrutiny on beneficial ownership of companies is increasing with the Registrars of Companies (RoCs) issuing adjudicatory orders on as many as 20 companies since the beginning of May, suggesting that the authorities are getting stricter about disclosures of who is controlling corporate operations. If the orders issued since beginning of the year are taken into account, the figure goes up to 27. In all but three cases, penalties were imposed and in these three cases, the submissions made by the companies were accepted, showed the regulatory orders available from the ministry of corporate affairs.

ONDC) has shown that the ecommerce initiative has cornered about 3% of Swiggy and Zomato’s food-order volumes, according to people in the know. «Nationwide, ONDC now facilitates 60,000 orders per day in the food domain, capturing 3% of the total order volumes managed by Swiggy and Zomato across India individually, which receive 20 lakh orders each,» they said, adding that its total order volume touched 400,000 in a day, which included mobility bookings.
