India slammed Pakistan's «mischievous provocation» and "political propaganda" during a Security Council meeting on women, peace and security, saying the condition of women belonging to minority communities, notably Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in the country remains deplorable. «It is despicable yet entirely predictable that one delegation has chosen to indulge in mischievous provocation based on their tried and tested tactic of spreading misinformation and disinformation,» India's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador P Harish said in the UNSC on Friday. BJP accuses Priyanka Gandhi of not disclosing full info about her, Vadra's assets
BJP on Saturday accused Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of «non-disclosure of essential information» regarding her and her husband Robert Vadra's assets in her affidavit to contest the Lok Sabha by-poll from Kerala's Wayanad. BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia claimed that Gandhi is in violation of the Supreme Court's directive to poll candidates to make a full disclosure of their, their spouse's and dependents' assets. «The Supreme Court order is binding on all citizens. The Gandhi family is not above law. There can be only one outcome. If somebody furnishes wrong information in the affidavit, they have no right to contest elections,» Bhatia told reporters here.

Making leaders board-ready is more than just getting a certification
There are multiple programmes offering specialised certifications to help leaders get ready for this transition. While this form of structured learning is critical and helpful and one can choose the right one based on their requirements, there are multiple parameters leaders need to consider to ensure their readiness for serving on the board of a company. Arvind Pandit, Founder & Managing Partner, Ishwa Consulting, says a key step senior leaders need to keep in mind at this juncture is that experience matters more than certification. Certifications are valuable, but they can't replace the depth of expertise gained through years of real-world experience. Companies value depth and substance over mere credentials. Industry knowledge is a differentiator as directors must offer more than surface-level understanding. Companies favour those who have built something tangible over those who’ve just studied the plans.

Are overheated valuations dragging down growth? Pratik Gupta answers
"Demand had been depressed for a while. What has happened is firstly, things were never as good as the companies were talking about back two-three months back, but equally we do not think it is as bad either as how things are perceived to be right now. It is not doom and gloom. It is not a perpetual slowdown," says Pratik Gupta, Kotak Institutional Equities We are underperforming global markets and now the earnings in a sense have been marred with a string of disappointment. What has changed in between last quarter and now that the management commentary, the growth outlook and the demand environment is looking so sluggish? Pratik Gupta: Yes, you are right. We believe we are already seeing at Kotak series of earnings downgrades across the board in most companies and the December quarter will also not be very strong based on the early commentary about the festive season, this is as far as the consumer sector is concerned.
