Ukraine open to energy ceasefire, but Volodymyr Zelensky demands details from Donald Trump
Ukraine has signalled support for a U.S.-proposed pause in attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. The agreement, backed by Washington and Moscow, follows a call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, however, made it clear that Kyiv needed more details before making a final decision. «After we get the details from the U.S. president, from the U.S. side, we will give our answer,» Zelensky said in an online briefing. He added that Ukraine would honour the agreement as long as Moscow also adhered to it. «Our side will maintain it,» he stated, but stressed that the U.S. should act as «guarantors of control over the implementation.»

'Troublemaker, agitator': Trump calls for impeaching the federal judge who ruled against his deportations
Donald Trump said Tuesday that a federal judge who tried to stop his deportation plans should be impeached, escalating his conflict with a judiciary that's been one of the few restraints on his administration's aggressive plans. Trump has routinely criticized judges, especially as they limit his efforts to expand presidential power and impose his sweeping agenda on the federal government. But his call for impeachment — a rare step that is usually taken only in cases of grave ethical or criminal misconduct — represents an intensifying clash between the judicial and executive branches. The Republican president described U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg in Washington, as an unelected «troublemaker and agitator» in a post on Truth Social, his social media platform. Boasberg recently issued an order blocking deportation flights under wartime authorities from an 18th century law that Trump invoked to carry out his plans. «HE DIDN'T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY,» Trump wrote on Tuesday. «I'm just doing what the VOTERS wanted me to do. This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges' I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!!» ALSO READ: Trump's approval rating soars to new high, Americans say US is on right track than any time in 20 years: poll

Hargreaves Lansdown's Derren Nathan: How London can regain its competitiveness against other stock exchanges
Despite extensive simplification of the listing requirements throughout 2024 and a rebound in activity during Q4, 2025 is yet to see the IPO floodgates reopen. Measures such as a less burdensome prospectus regime and a fast track for companies looking to establish a dual listing in London are welcome steps in the right direction, but they are not going to be a panacea. The US, which saw proceeds from new issues spike 48% to $33bn last year, is increasingly seen as the destination of choice for high-quality listed companies, despite being no light touch on regulation either. Anuj Gupta recommends staggered gold investment for long-term gains
«Gold demand is not coming only from the individual. Even we have seen lots of central banks increasing their gold holdings. So, the demand is the main reason that gold prices are increasing in last almost five years,» says Anuj Gupta, HDFC Securities. My grandmother used to say, buy gold, do not ever sell gold. It is coming out so true. Gold is up 15x in last 20 years. Why is gold prices moving the way it is moving? Anuj Gupta: See, the demand is the only concern is the main reason that gold prices increased sharply. And also, the uncertainty in the global market. In last five years, in COVID or after the COVID, we saw a huge jump in gold prices due to the demand because now investors are taking gold as an investment, not as a jewellery, so we saw a huge demand in gold bar, in gold coins, the demand is increasing.

'Married At First Sight' bride Jacqui Burfoot's home revealed to be Airbnb property
Airbnb property passed off as the real home of a Married At First Sight contestant has led to a massive controversy. Married At First Sight bride Jacqui Burfoot's «home» on the show was found to be not her own but actually a rented residence for just one night. Even as the controversy over her rented two-storey «home» erupted, the 29-year-old Jacqui also found herself in an embarrassing situation in the latest episode of the show aired on Monday (March 17). During the episode while she was filmed speaking to her TV husband Ryan Donnelly in her home in Sydney, several viewers took to social media with screenshots of the show to point out that her nostrils were not clean. «Jacqui has a boogie in her right nostril,» read one of the social media posts by a viewer. Several fans also stated that show producers and the camera crews should have alerted her about the unclean nose. But the social media trolling over Jacqui's nose seemed to be only a sideshow to the bigger storm brewing around her rented residential property. According to a report by Daily Mail Australia, Jacqui's massive property, which she presented as her residence, was in reality a rented Airbnb. Jacqui had taken Donnelly to her «home» in the show and gave him a tour of the same on Monday.

Santosh Rao expects one Fed rate cut this year; says ultimately FIIs will return to India
Santosh Rao, Head of Research/Partner, Manhattan Venture Partners, says foreign funds flows will ultimately come into India because India is the fastest growing economy in the world but right now, there is much better risk-reward outside India. So, right now, money is getting scattered around other places. But ultimately, it will come back to India. Rao also says that the Fed will probably have one cut this year and more next year when the US economy is expected to slow down. They won’t cut rates now because the prices are still high and there is a greater threat of inflation. US retail sales rose less than forecast in February, and the previous month was revised down to mark the biggest drop since July 2021. Anxiety is building among US consumers about the likely impact from US tariffs on the economy and their pocketbooks. China on the other hand, has announced a «Special Action Plan to Boost Consumption» in a bid to prop up domestic consumption in the world's second largest economy. How do you see these things impacting US consumers? Santosh Rao: Overall, right now, the US consumer is getting cautious. The underlying data right now is kind of soft, but people are really worried about the future, what is coming down the pike? The inflation expectations are high and that kind of feeds into the narrative and that one thing leads to another, so the prices keep going up. So, the big inflation, the resurgence of inflation is a big issue. So, you want to clamp that down. So, let us see.
