‘With Beckn-ONIX, users can build an open network in minutes’
Beckn-ONIX (Open Network in a Box), an open-source stack that enables rapid deployment and configuration of Beckn-enabled networks through a virtual appliance, can now allow anyone to build an open network in minutes, ensuring faster rollouts of networks, be it in agriculture, energy, healthcare or ecommerce, said a company executive. Created by the Bengaluru-based non-profit Foundation for Interoperability in Digital Economy, the Beckn protocol powers e-commerce networks like the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). UP Public Service Commission paper 'leak': Water bottle trick uncovered after arrest of 5 engineers
Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested six individuals in connection with the paper leak of the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Examination-2024. These arrests, made in Prayagraj, follow the discovery that the exam papers were leaked from a printing press in Bhopal. The examination, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on February 11, was subsequently canceled on March 2 after reports of the leak surfaced. Prior to this, ten individuals had already been arrested in connection with the case. The accused face charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy, as well as the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination Act, 1998, and the Information Technology Act. During interrogation, it was revealed that the question paper was leaked in two ways. The arrested individuals include Sunil Raghuvanshi, a mechanical engineer at the printing press, and others identified as Subhash Prakash, Vishal Dubey, Sandeep Pandey, Amarjeet Sharma, and Vivek Upadhyay, all his former classmates. Initial intelligence had suggested that the leak originated from a school in Prayagraj, where Arpit Vineet Yashwant, responsible for the exam at the center, was previously arrested along with four gang members in April. Investigations are also looking into the involvement of the school's management and principal.

Ajay Bagga on where to look for next market trigger and pockets to avoid now
Ajay Bagga, Market Expert, says the size of the order flow has started coming down in IT because companies are not willing to give very long-term orders or very large orders given the way AI is disrupting the entire industry. But within the next one year, we will start seeing the first case studies coming out where Indian IT companies will start enabling the hardware gains to come into actual industries via some software and that is where Indian IT will start scoring. Probably, we can wait it out for three months more. Do private banks and the underperforming ones seem to be the only value zone in the market right now?

AI will eliminate certain roles, but will create more jobs than it eliminates: Deloitte AI exec
AI will replace people with people, contrary to the common narrative, Deloitte's AI Executive Rohit Tandon said, emphasising that the future belongs to AI-human collaboration, not replacement, as he envisions a revolutionary era where technology empowers, rather than replaces, the workforce. In an interview with PTI, Tandon, Managing Director, AI and Insights Practice Leader, Deloitte LLP, said AI will not snatch jobs, but will simply do away with some of the easier jobs, and create new roles. «AI will, with people, replace people… It's not just AI replacing people. You still need humans in the loop,» he said. Tandon said the same kind of fear of job roles getting wiped out existed when IT, technology, and computers came into the scenario.

Exit polls loss-making venture: Axis My India chief
Exit polls is a loss-making business and the only profit a pollster earns is visibility, Axis My India chief Pradeep Gupta has said. Gupta was considered to be the poster boy of exit polls till June 4, when the Lok Sabha poll results dealt a hammer blow to the reputation of pollsters after their predictions proved to be wide off the mark. «Exit polls are a loss-making venture because no media house will pay as much money as that invested on the ground… the only profit that we make in exit polls is that we get visibility which we do not get while doing market research for corporate clients,» he said. In an interaction with PTI editors at the agency's headquarters, Gupta said 70 per cent of his clientele is corporate clients and that is where the main revenue comes from.
