Modi inciting people, dividing society, alleges Kharge; Uddhav says 'acche din' coming after June 4
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of inciting people and dividing society through his election speeches. Kharge was addressing a press conference of the INDIA bloc, where NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray and other leaders were present. The opposition alliance held an election rally in the city on Friday. «No prime minister before Modi has ever indulged in inciting people like he has been doing. He speaks about democracy repeatedly but doesn't adhere to the tenets of democracy,» Kharge said. Responding to a question on PM Modi' statement that the Congress will bulldoze the Ram mandir in Ayodhya and also restore Article 370 if the INDIA bloc is voted to power, Kharge said, «We have never used a bulldozer on anyone. Modi has the habit of lying and inciting people about things which Congress will never do or the things that are impossible to be implemented.»

Time to smarten up the locks on your door
₹1,800 crore) in 2025 from only $15.44 million in 2017, registering a growth rate of 39.79%. UNLOCK CONVENIENCE At their core, smart locks do not enhance security compared to mechanical locks, but they add a layer of convenience that in turn, leads to better access control and raises the security posture. Arindam Paul, chief business officer at Atomberg, an Indian company which manufacturers and retails smart locks, says, “Some people feel smart locks are safer than traditional locks as they can remotely monitor and track every entry and exit." Smart locks make it easy to get in and out without the need to juggle keys or have someone lock/unlock the door.

RBI announces reduction in the quantum of the government’s treasury bill sales
liquidity conditions, the central bank has announced a steep reduction in the quantum of the government’s treasury bill sales and a new selection of bonds for the Centre’s buyback operations to aid freeing up cash for banks. Liquidity conditions in the banking system tightened considerably this month, largely due to a muted pace of government spending amid the ongoing general elections, market participants said. Tight liquidity conditions increase cost of funds for banks, especially at a time when credit growth continues to outpace deposit growth by a long margin. Higher borrowing costs for banks pushes up the cost of borrowing across the economy. So far in May, average daily deficit liquidity as measured by banks’ borrowing from the RBI was at Rs 1.2 lakh crore.
